Thoroughly enjoyable stay. Recommended
We were put in an out building. There were steep stairs upto the bed deck. As some with disabilities to be no alternative so slept on the small couch
most enjoyable stay, food was great, friendly staff
Beautiful, historic building, gteat restaurant, friendly staff, spacious rooms, great bathroom.
Cosy property, centrally located.
Great place to stay
Lovely evening meal of home made burgers. Beautiful breakfast in the morning and very kindly gave us a lift to start of our walk on Hadrian’s wall
We had a lovely stay at this hotel, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is great for visiting Vindolanda and Hadrien's Wall.
The breakfast was excellent and evening meals were also good. I hope to return here.
Excellent room. Had a sauna in the room but would suggest you leave full written instructions on turning it on and off I think some staff were unaware too so never got to use it. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent and the hotel has z very relaxing feel. Would certainly return
Clean rooms. Very helpful staff. Great breakfast and dining option.
All ok
Clean and lovely hotel
If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would just for the staff!! Anyone we came in contact with were impeccably nice. It was so wonderful meeting them. Their friendliness was very welcoming and warm. Made me feel right at home. They even gave us a take away meal for breakfast because we were leaving prior to breakfast hours.
Fabulous room, delicious meals, delightful staff. Host David was gracious and welcoming, everything a hotel proprietor should be.
It exceeded all expectations.
Great room, great food and great service.
Our stay at the Centre of Britain was very enjoyable - David was the perfect host and all the staff were so helpful and friendly. All our rooms were different and some were amazing - the hotel was spotless, the breakfast delicious and we all thoroughly enjoyed the evening meals we had. The hotel is ideally situated and we were able to easily visit some very lovely places - including obviously Hadrian's Wall
The lady on reception was really kind and helpful but unfortunately the hotel was disappointing and in my opinion not worth the money.
Great stay with great customer service. Disappointed to hear that mini golf was at the owners premises.
Exceptionally friendly and accommodating staff. Very comfortable beds and very quiet despite being in the centre of the town/village.
We were given a lovely little lodge in courtyard with downstairs Tv area & bathroom and a mezzanine upper where the comfiest of beds were situated. The bathroom was beautiful, massive shower cubicle!
The hosts were brilliant, even down to being shown which parts of the building were eldest & a centuries old stone winding staircase that was used by soldiers in the days of fighting over the English Scottish border.
Breakfast was included & was beautiful.
If we’re ever in the area again we’d definitely stay here.
