Noubou International Hotel

Sanitation is definitely a concern.

The stay got off to a bad start when we arrived at 11pm only to be told we had no reservation and the hotel was fully booked. We had received confirmation that the room was guaranteed and paid for through hotels.com and after disputing the fact for 30 mins the hotel finally found us a room from somewhere.

To be fair after this the stay went smoothly. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. It surpassed expectations for a 3 star.

Pros:
- super friendly staff
- comfy bed, hot water and pressure (i.e. all the comforts you need)
- free airport shuttle

Cons:
- Wifi does not work in the rooms (despite the insistence of the staff). It's relatively OK for basic whatsapp, but you can't load websites. Not OK for an 'international' hotel.
- location is really bizarre - kind of a random industrial area, no real reason to stay around here. Next time I would stay somewhere more central. Taxi drivers do now seem to know the hotel.

I didn't eat in the restaurant - it seemed very expensive, which is perhaps representative of the hotel itself....trying to be something its not

ATM in the lobby was great.
No vending machine.

I did like the bathroom and ATM . I didn't like the fact that there was no vending machine.

Best staff in the hotel world, always helpful beyond duty.

Thé staff are very pleasant and helpful - I was nicely surprised. The A/c works well. The WiFi works easily and the room and bathroom are spacious. The price is good for the quality. It’s not easy to find a decent hotel at this price and it is in town. I high recommend Noubou hotel!

La personnel sont chaleureux et ils sont contents de vous aider. Le wifi et la clime function bien et la chambre et la salle de bain sont spacieuses et propres ! Normalement c’est difficile à trouver un bon hôtel à Douala surtout à ce prix. Je peux le recommander vivement !

Noubou Hotel is a class hotel with nice and smiling workers and everything is just so okay. I will definitely come back always.

Hotellet er rent, trygt og hyggelig.

Man kan alltids finne noe å sette fingeren på, men vår erfaring er at om man hadde noe, så ble det umiddelbart tatt vare på, korrigert eller om nødvendig reparert.

Hôtel récent, personnel très accueillant, service très agréable;
Navette gratuite, ponctuelle et chauffeur très gentil.
Petit déjeuner très bien fait et cadre agréable. Rapport prix prestation sans doute un des meilleur de Douala.
Nous recommandons cette hôtel.

The only weakness is the area, but there are security agent.

J'ai choisi cet hotel pour sa proximité supposée avec mon client...or il n'était pas au bon endroit sur le site hotels.com...

Aussi ils ne sont pas venus me chercher à l'aéroport alors que c'était compris dans le prix...et n'ont pas voulu rembourser mon trajet.

Enfin, il n'y pas d'eau potable dans les chambres et font payer l'eau du bar...

Bref nouvel hotel en bon état avec une chouette équipe mais y a encore du boulot.
