A beautiful, generous room in a charming hotel full of vintage appeal.
Pros:

The Japanese style room with open-air bath was beautiful. It was the largest and most well-appointed room we stayed in during our trip. The view from the bath on the balcony was beautiful, we spent a lot of time soaking and enjoying the sun. The room was obviously prepared with care. All the staff members we encountered were friendly, polite and helpful. The room was peaceful and quiet. The retro feel of the hotel is honestly really fun. It felt like staying in the most glamorous version of the 80s.

Cons:

The laundry facilities were not great - a little expensive, and the dryer didn’t work very well. The overall condition of the hotel’s common areas (hallways, lobby, vending machine spaces) is a little run-down and could do with some love.

Pros:

房间设施比较全，还配有胶囊咖啡机，房间正对黑船视野也挺不错的！房间面积也比较大，被褥需要自己铺，泡汤的地方比较大！离下田站步行10min，可以坐2站公交车，打车基本都不会接待（因为太近），用餐可以选择去下田站附近或酒店对面的金木亭或寿司.

Cons:

大厅和一些设施真的有些旧，其实可以撤掉一些家具显的开敞些更好！

Very good view, traditional Japanese-style room is also fun
Pros:

This hotel has a great view. I can see the sea and the black ship right from my hotel room. Very beautiful! First time to sleep in a traditional Japanese-style room, and very fun experience!

Cons:

It is about 15 minutes walk to the Izukyū-Shimoda train station. Just wish it a little bit closer as walking on a summer hot day with luggage may not be fun.

Spacious bedroom but basic included services
Pros:

Shuttle bus for the beach was not available despite the fact that it was written on Hotels.com. We were not informed proactively.
They told us to use the bus or taxi instead (at our charge). We went for the bus close to the hotel, it never came…
The building is old stylish and the smells/perfumes in the commun parts are not enjoyable.
Almost all services are charged separately (ping pong, swimming pool …) and some have to be booked in advance (incl. swimming pool).
You need a swimming cap for the swimming pool.
They charge the use of the Onsen even if you dont use it.
The Onsen is seperated man/woman and is naked.
Many signs are only in Japanese.
We were able to communicate with the staff in English. Some speak better than others.
Dogs are accepted, we could hear some barking from our bedroom. The first night was quite silent but on the second night, we could hear some people scream/laugh around midnight.
On the positive side, the room was spacious, the view was nice. Amenities were provided. There is a 7 eleven only few minutes away by foot. It is not far from the train station, when it’s not too warm, you can go by foot. Taxi to/from the train station is about 1000yen one way. They provide a little carrier for luggage, let us 🚿 after Check-out and called a taxi
We went to Kujuppama Beach by taxi. A very nice small beach accessible from the road by a short but very steep road. We also went to Nabetahama Beach by bus (from the train station). Also a nice small beach.

Pros:

Établissement rétro, hors du temps, dont les décors un peu fanés racontent une histoire d'un autre temps, du temps du miracle économique Japonais. Ceux qui n'ont pas aimé n'ont rien compris à ce charme délicieusement suranné. L'appartement avec tatamis, futons, magnifique salle de bain, avec bain traditionnel et onsen était superbe et luxueux....

Cons:

Seul bémol, étant venus en basse saison il n'y avait pas de petit déjeuner, mais l'appartement disposait d'une cuisine et du nécessaire pour faire du café ou du thé.
