Location was next to everything!
Some parts of the spa were closed for repair and they did not tell us in advance of our stay
Loved the comfortable bed, my family and l all has some rested sleeps after our journey from London.
Didn't like dripping water running down wall from bathroom above us. I has some personal items on the window sill which got wet but other than that mishaps all good.
air-conditioning fan from the kitchen was on all night and very noisy
The best hotel in Bristol. Just amazing! Loved everything and great value.
The spa was brilliant and the room was so comfy and luxurious. It was a splendid stay.
Friendly staff
Good well cooked breakfast
Stained carpet in room
Stained carpet in hall by room
Hair in bathtub
Steps to swimming pool were steep and had no handrail so inaccessible to me .
Very hot and humid in pool / jacuzzi area . Felt claustrophobic and airless .
Staff
Christmas dinner was really disappointing it was the traditional turkey dinner. The roast potatoes tasted old like they were cooked on the 24.12.25 and heated in the microwave for 25.12.26
The gym facilities were not working. Both treadmill were out of action for a 5-star establishment up to standard.
The pub or disco opposite was disturbing and noisy.
The location is fantastic and the hotel provided that immediate sense of relaxation. My wife and I stayed for one night over the weekend and were upgraded to a better room free of charge!
The spa was cramped and overpopulated; there are time slots that people have to abide by but it was obvious that people outstayed their time and therefore made it difficult to experience all facilities.
A real building in the centre of a real historic city. The bed was lovely. The staff friendly and the right kind of off their heads with total local knowledge
Shame we were told the pool wasn’t working. It was it was the jacuzzi that was cold.
The rooms were spacious and modern, it’s very close to the city centre.
The spa was good and enjoyed the gym.
The staff at the restaurant needs training with understanding the menu, I think they were new. They need to inform the customer that there is an extra charge to order from the breakfast menu.
Also I got charged another £10 to use the gym and spa facilities because I booked from booking.com. I think you need to include it in the price in future regardless where I book the stay. We went to the restaurant for lunch and therewas a bit of a wait even though there only 3 tables of customers.
I booked a taxi from the reception (your partner company) and it took over 40minutes to arrive, which caused me to be very late for an important business meeting. The reception service was great though. She was very apologetic and keet ringing the taxi company to chase them up.
Apart from that I have no other issues.
Overall I enjoyed my stay and will be back for definite.
Lovely
Class room and stuff
Room was good with very comfortable bed
The room was a bit on the cold side and the heating did not appear to work. Not a big deal but slightly disappointing.
The hot water in the sink never got above warm but the shower was okay temperature wise.
I only had the continental option but was a nice selection of fruit, cereals, pastries, etc.
It could have been included in the price.
