The hotel was outstanding. Very welcoming on arrival. All staff were friendly and happy to help. Rooms very clean and well presented. Beautiful hotel with a beautiful rooftop terrace.
I had an excellent stay at Montcalm Royal London. The hotel has a beautiful modern feel, with stylish interiors, comfortable rooms, and a calm, luxurious atmosphere from the moment you walk in. Everything felt clean, elegant, and well maintained.
The staff were welcoming, professional, and very attentive throughout the stay, special thanks to Paul and the reception team who checked me inn early, thank you.
We stayed here with family over New Year and had a generally good experience overall. The rooms were nice, the cooked breakfast was really good, and the door staff were especially lovely. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful whenever we had questions.
There were a few downsides though. Breakfast was a bit hit or miss — there was a hair in one of the yogurts, the pastry selection was quite limited, and some of the seating on one side of the breakfast room didn’t feel great. The main bar area was also quite cold, and some of the bar staff came across as a little unprofessional.
One disappointment was New Year’s Eve, as we were told by staff that we’d be able to access the rooftop bar, but when we arrived we were then refused entry due to the celebrations taking place.
Overall, despite a few issues, we still had a pleasant stay thanks to the good rooms and friendly staff.

Printed or easily accessible on TV - Room amenity instructions would be helpful, location of spa, restaurant etc & a price list for mini bar, expect premium prices but an idea of these would be helpful. Better quality of pillow, partner found then quite lumpy.
Our room was a great size and very comfortable! The breakfast was the highlight and the staff were all very helpful!
We did want to have a drink in the rooftop bar on Friday evening but it was packed (bank holiday to be expected) and the queue was huge to get one drink so we left.
Thankfully we had breakfast up there the next day which was lovely and more peaceful.
