Pros:

Located at a comfortable walking distance from town. The walk is a beautiful meander along the water front on a well maintained path. The apartments had good facilities for self catering and washing .

One night is long enough. Staff needs to do better.

The staff was not nice. Brad at reception was rude. No help, we had to make our own beds and place bed sheets. The apartment wasn’t clean. Very expensive. I think they know they get money easily from cruise passengers so they do the bare minimum. The ONLY good staff was a lady at reception at night, I think her mama was Delilah, or something very fairytale exotic name; she was wonderful. NO AC, so it was warm.

Cons:

Washing machine in apartment. Good when traveling with kids.

We loved Juneau. We had one of the best whale-watching experiences possible! Wonderful town.
Pros:

The location was pretty good, about a half-mile to the city center. A very nice ocean-side walk part of the way to town. It's a very easy drive there also. We were within easy walking distance of a complete grocery store. No continental breakfast served by the hotel. The hotel offers a shuttle service to the airport, ferry. This service is good - to a point. See below. The room (actually a bedroom, living room and kitchen) was comfortable and quiet. The kitchen was stocked well enough to do some basic cooking, making breakfast or lunch. The hotel is about 50 yards from the whaled sculpture and board walk to town.

Cons:

The cleanliness part could have been better. Part of the feel of lack of cleanliness is the age of everything. Carpets are very old. Bathroom fixtures are old. The container for shampoo, etc. was glued onto the shower wall, and fell down of its own weight one morning, making a noisy clatter as it hit the bathtub floor. The most glaring problem with the hotel is the attention paid to customer service. Many of the staff are very nice and helpful. But, the hotel staff didn't bother to notify me that I had left my drivers license in the lobby (they photo copy it and are not at all diligent on making sure you get it back) at check-in. As a result, I panicked for half a day (thinking I had lost it on the plane). I had forgotten (late flights, long day of traveling the day before) that I had had to show them my license on check-in. Late in the morning I asked them if they had found my license. The clerk smiled, opened a drawer and gave me my license. Why had they not contacted me the moment they discovered they still had my license in their possession?!!!! We took the ferry to Haines for a week. On our return, we called for the shuttle to pick us up at Auke Bay ferry terminal. Two hours later after they had taken three trips to the AIRPORT, we got the message through to them. They had the capability to call us when they missed us at the airport the first time, but instead plowed ahead with mistaken information (given by the clerk on duty, who could not have cared less about our welfare.) This review is intended as a "heads up" to the hotel management and staff. You can and should do better. Our ratings would have been higher, had it not been for the lack of customer focus by the hotel staff.

Staff VERY HELPFUL. Brock helped me solve a problem when I traveled to other locations and returned to stay here 3 times. Jeremy was super-helpful! Marshall also helped me.
I stayed here 3 times and used it as a base. The airport shuttle was terrific and there was safe parking for my car.
The renovated rooms/suites were
great and even included washer/dryer.
Rooms all 3 stays were clean. Coffee available 24 hours. Great location near The Whale sculpture and somewhat close to downtown restaurants and shops.

Cons:

No breakfast. Easy for me to drive to restaurants but some people had a bit of a walk to downtown.

Very good. Perfect for active outdoorsy types.
Pros:

I really liked the location being close to downtown, but not right downtown.

Staff is great. The lent me a bear spray that someone had left. They also helped me out quickly when I locked myself out of the room.

Cons:

The suite had a washer and dryer. But, the washer didn’t really work and made me nervous that it smelled hot.

Pros:

Great location if you have a car. Quiet, safe, and easy parking. Room updated and clean. Liked having a separate little building with my own little front patio with table and chairs. Spacious room with a/c, thermostat, and ceiling fan.
BOTH young men who checked me in and out were VERY helpful and kind, especially with my needs due to a disability. Staff also figured a way to keep my “freezer ice” in the main building.

Cons:

Refrigerator did not have a freezer.
No breakfast included in price.
