A delightful place to stay for a visit to Heidelberg
Pros:

The hotel is in a beautifully converted old mansion overlooking the river and very close to the centre of the Old Town. Our room was bright, spacious and very comfortable with a lovely bed and large bathroom.Good breakfast served in the old cellars- which are also beautifully converted. Highly recommended.

Wonderful and highlight of this honeymoon!
Pros:

The host was exceptional! Traveling for our honeymoon in Heidelberg was great thanks to his insight and enthusiasm. He showed us the wonderful view for the lighting of the castle and told us about local options for food and drink. He was so excited to share and hear about what we saw and did.

Cons:

The host did his best with the heatwave and had personal AC units in the rooms. Other than the heat it was superb.

Können wir nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen.
Pros:

Sehr nette Gastgeber und sehr hilfsbereit. Hübsche Zimmer. Lage perfekt. Man ist in einer Minute Fussmarsch direkt in der Altstadt. Frühstück war klasse und die Location dazu auch. Wir würden wiederkommen.

Cons:

Der Läufer in unserem Zimmer könnte mal wieder gereinigt oder ausgewechselt werden. Ansonsten alles Tipp Topp und sehr familiär.

Breakfast excellent

Room - cute but ceiling was a bit lower than I imagined, but we coped. Fridge wasn’t cold enough & electric
jug cord didn’t reach the dresser top so had to use it on the floor! Also was very difficult to access
suitcase on floor under ceiling but would improve if it could be stored on a base with wheels so it
can roll out for easier access

Staircase - we had no idea that there was no lift & therefore we’d need to climb 4 levels of a building with
such a high stud (our stud height on average is 14 steps - yours 24 !) However I accept that is
a feature of old historic buildings that gives them character!

Hotel access - our arrival was very difficult because we couldn’t contact anyone to let us in. Our phones ran
out of data & then battery power so we were stuck. We had to ask for help in a local retailer
to allow us to recharge our phones & they went out of their way to help us. I accept that this
situation probably arose because I failed to reply to an email from the hotel in time, regarding
our arrival, which was just after closing. However, as a guest from the other side of the world
It would have been comforting to know there was another option for entering. We could still
have been standing there waiting for hours had those kind people not helped us.

All in all, it was a pleasant stay with a beautiful room & view & pleasant staff & we have no regrets.

Lovely hotel, perfect location - we would absolutely stay there again!
Pros:

Although our room did not have AC we had three windows that provided a beautiful breeze off the river. We were very comfortable in weather with 80 F highs and 60 F lows

Cons:

If we had been there during the heat wave the lack of AC may have been an issue

Pros:

Dobrá lokalita v centru města, nedaleké historického mostu, ideální pro turisty, kteří mají zájem o místní památky. Bohatá snídaně, velmi příjemný personál. Náš pozdnější příjezd (mimo otevírací dobu recepce) se snadno vyřešil díky zaslání přístupových kódů.

Cons:

Centrum Heidelbergu není dobře dostupné autem, resp. auto je nutné zaparkovat v některém z parkovacích domů (velikosti parkovacích míst v nich nejsou vždy ideální). Je proto nutné přijet autem, vyložit zavazadla a odjet zaparkovat.
Pokud máte pokoje obráceny směrem k nábřeží a řece, při otevřeném okně vás ráno bude budit provoz na ulici, která míjí hotel.

Heidelberg was a wonderful place to visit.
Pros:

The location was great for our plans in Heidelberg.

Cons:

Parking to unload the car and then going to a paid garage a half a mile away was a little bit of a hassle. Also, it seemed that the reception desk should stay open later in the evening.

Pros:

Lage ist sehr gut.

Cons:

Durch das Buchungssystem wurden aus Versehen zwei Zimmer gebucht, was wir nicht bemerkten, da die Buchung kurzfristig erfolgte. Wir hatten zwei Zimmer inkl. Taxen zu bezahlen. Die Rezeptionistin war in keiner Weise entgegenkommend. Keinen Rabatt, nicht einmal ein kostenloses Frühstück dazu. Sie war sehr unfreundlich und abweisend.
