Came here in December to visit the Christmas markets. The location, decor, and service is incredible! Our room was spacious, modern, and comfortable and the staff was the kindest- going above and beyond to make us enjoy our stay. Would love to stay here again!
This hotel is a little gem, just 5 min walk from all the action, it's clean, friendly and very quiet. It has a very warm atmosphere and the rooms are fairly spacious. We had a lovely time during our stay.
The James Boutique Hotel was a very nice place to stay. We paid extra for the daily breakfast, which included creamy and delicious scrambled eggs (French style), local cheeses and hams, and breads/croissants. The staff is very helpful and nice, and we were centrally located. We loved our stay at the James.
After 3 weeks in France, the James Hotel in Colmar was a beautiful, warm respite for two weary travelers. The room was fantastic! The bed was comfortable, the bathroom well-appointed, and the decor relaxing and inviting. The hotel staff was especially helpful and made you feel welcomed from the start. The hotel is located just off old town Colmar, which is convenient but a quiet break from the bustle of the tourist areas. I would recommend the James Boutique Hotel anytime. It was a highlight of our stay in France.
Will definitely stay here again when returning to Colmar. Stayed here with my spouse for three nights. Pros: Close to city center, Staff are all welcoming and pleasant, beds are very comfortable, room well maintained and clean, reception open 24 hours, drinks are well crafted, breakfast is far more than your ordinary hotel and worth having, atmosphere and decor are superb, lobby set up to either maintain a quiet getaway or to engage with others. Very cozy vibe. Cons: none.
Delightful stay in a modern, clean, well-appointed room with thoughtful amenities beyond the usual. Elegant public areas with nice sitting area and bar. Extremely helpful and friendly staff made helpful restaurant suggestions and made a reservation for us; also gave us good tips for charming nearby towns to visit in the area. Location convenient to city center. Decent value for an upscale lodging.
If I could, I would give this hotel ten stars. They were so accommodating to my family. The staff are warm and welcoming. They helped with restaurant reservations, they were kind as I attempted French, and they offered apple sauce pouches to my two kids at each breakfast. They were thoughtful in so many ways throughout our stay.
The hotel is modern, sleek, and beautiful. The beds are so comfortable. And I loved the daily breakfast. In terms of convenience, the location is on the same block as a grocery store and is an easy block away from the historic city center.
We would definitely stay there again, and we'd highly recommend James Boutique Hotel. Thank you to everyone there who helped make our stay so enjoyable.
We had a great stay, very good location, staff are very helpful. We highly recommend this boutique hotel. They also have good arrangements for parking.
The hotel is new and comfortable. The room quite modern and well organized.
The hotel is within walking distance to the old town while allowing us to enjoy modern and comfortable facilities.
We really liked that the parking is so close to the hotel.
The staff is very helpful and friendly.
Beautiful, clean hotel in Colmar with a fantastic breakfast of local products and a very kind staff.
Big rooms and bathroom, though we wished the bathroom door closed all the way. Would absolutely stay here again!
Great location. Loved the hotel and our stay. Very friendly and helpful staff. Offered to make dinner reservations.
A lovely, well situated hotel with extremely helpful staff. The lobby was well arranged to encourage small group interaction and continental breaks were extremely well served.
Good location. Poor management. Refrigerator never worked, dimly lit room, needed 2 duvets for a queen bed(apparently they don't have the right size), room not serviced one day (to their surprise); thermostat not programmed for below 73 degrees, etc.
Just spent one night here but the hotel was very good. Friendly staff, decent size rooms and a very good breakfast. Also only a 5 minute walk from the city centre . Car park is an experience, especially if you have a slightly larger car. Definitely recommend.
The hotel is perfectly situated to the historic center of Colmar. The rooms are well appointed, extremely clean and spacious. The continental breakfast was well apportioned with excellent coffee choices, fresh squeezed orange juice, lovely cheeses and delicious breads. The staff of the hotel were absolutely wonderful. They were attentive and responsive to our group’s needs. Hotel lobby’s decor was inviting and well designed to accommodate small group interaction and a place to sit and enjoy a bottle of wine.
Excellent location 5 minute walk to Colmar Centre which is a jewel by itself. The hotel is very comfortable, quiet and super friendly. Breakfast is top notch farm ingredients. Hard to find a better value. Very recommenddd
This hotel is nicely located near Little Venice in Colmar. The service is excellent and the breakfast was a very nice buffet with fresh fruits and muesli (my favorite breakfast food); The staff is very friendly and showing on a map where we are.
The rooms are nicely outfitted and the beds are comfor.
I cannot fault the James Boutique hotel - walkable distance to city centre, staff so helpful offering recommendations for places to visit. The room/ toilet were spotless and well laid out. Finally the best breakfast I’ve had with all local produce. Would highly recommend.
Very friendly staff. Convenient location, easy access to downtown only 2 blocks away from the main area . Nicely decorated. Overall very much recommended.
We loved this hotel and often remembered it during our travels in Europe this July. It is modern, elegant, and bright. AC worked very well, and the bed was comfortable. The location is good - a walking distance from the old town, and short Uber ride from the train station. We stayed at ~7 hotels during this Europe trip, and the breakfast at James Boutique was our favorite - they did not have too many items, but what they had was high quality - the hot chocolate was the best we ever tasted, wonderful local Alsace yogurts, great orange juice, fresh pastries etc; and the little breakfast area was very cute. I loved the lobby too - tastefully decorated, cooled with AC, and full of light.
The elegant lady with long red hair at the reception was friendly and helpful, and spoke English well with a beautiful french accent. We also appreciated them letting us check out a little later. The price was also very reasonable. Highly recommend and hope to stay there again one day. I wish it were a hotel chain, and I could find James Boutique everywhere we traveled.
