Praktisk beliggenhet.
Ubrukelige sofasenger.
We enjoyed the hot breakfast every morning before our day of touring. Our favorite thing about the hotel was where it was situated next to the Hudson River Waterfront Walkway which has a lot of seating available to intake the stunning views of the NYC skyline. Also, bonus that it is right next to the path train & ferry system to NYC.
Lesson learned the hard way. There is not a great transportation system from the hotel to catch the ferry Jersey City side to the Statue of Liberty! We would have been better off to take the path train to Battery Park in NYC & take the ferry from there.
Lovely property, very well located, with nice breakfast included.
Check in was a nightmare. Their posted check in time is 3 pm. I even confirmed in advance that our family needed the (standard) 3 pm check in time. When we arrived at 3:30 the room wasn’t ready and the lobby was filled with people waiting to check in. At 4 pm our room still wasn’t ready. I asked what the issue was and was told they were overwhelmed because every room was booked. There was no apology. I have no idea if this was a one time problem or a recurring problem every time they are fully booked.
Location! Views!
Rooftop closing at 10:30! I could have sat longer it's amazing! Place was great
The epitome of financialising hospitality in this dreadful place. The staff are nice enough--which is why it gets two stars, not one. You can feel the Excel that drives this purely as an asset that needs to perform a yield-maximising function.
As it happens, the basics aren't in place. My door key didn't work. It took two (nice) engineers more than an hour to fix it. The toilet didn't flush--I had to open the cistern to use it. The internet is frankly appalling — roughly 5 megabits/second, about one-thirtieth of the average US broadband speed. Every corner that can be snipped off is snipped off.
The black out blinds work well.
Location , big room and roof top
Can be cleaner
Hyatt House Jersey City is in a great location with great views of the NYC Skyline. Close to the light rail and NJ Transit Hub. Enjoyed being able to walk out the the plaza and shoreline walkway. Room was spacious and had everything you need for a short or longer stay. Definately check out the Terrace Room on the top of the hotel for stunning views.
The Staff were excellent!
The location was within striking distance of everything needed, the service was outstanding, the food in the restaurant was fantastic and a good value for the area, the room was clean and well-furnished, and view cannot be beat.
What a terrific place to stay!! It had a beautiful view across the river to the skyline and a lovely rooftop restaurant. The room was very nice after getting a few small details sorted by Allison. She treated every little detail like it was a major issue and made everything right. I truly hope the hotel ownership realizes they have a good one there that they need to make sure they keep. When I told the GM, Michelle, how Allison had taken care of us, you could clearly tell that she gives her staff the autonomy to make everyone's stay pleasant and memorable. The breakfast was very plentiful and the area very safe. It is just a few hundred feet from the first PATH train stop on the Jersey side. The only small issue with that is we had to pay $3.25 to get on the PATH to go back and forth under the river to go one stop to One World Trade Center in order to catch the NY subway system. Perhaps there is another way to get there without that fee each time, but it was our first trip there so we didn't know.
