Stayed in the “motel” part of it and it was very loud including maid service and other guests. Sounds rarely bother me so this stood out. I’m guessing it’s more quiet elsewhere in the hotel.
The location was excellent, walkable and bikes were provided to ride the trails. Live music and a great patio was a plus. However, the room was a little rough around the edges. And after we checked out we were charged a $10 experience fee that was not mentioned when we booked the room.
When we checked in, the front desk person was friendly.
We had reserved the room a few days before our arrival. I asked if there was a restaurant and bar on premises and their answer was yes. Knowing that we were to arrive on a Sunday, they did not inform us that the restaurant and bar were closed on Sundays and Mondays. That would have been helpful. Upon checking in, we were offered a free upgrade to the main building to which we accepted. If that was an upgrade, I'd hate to see what the original room would have been like. The furnishings in the room were what you would expect in a college dorm room. Stains on the only chair and some sort of thin outdoor cushion on a makeshift sofa. The king bed was not too bad but there was not a box spring which meant that you were sleeping pretty close to the floor. The shower also had small amounts of mildew in the corners. The thing that was most bothersome to me was when I received my hotel charges by email the next day. I had paid in full prior to our arrival but was surprised to see an additional charge of $10 which was listed as an "experiences fee". I called the Oxbow to ask about this and was informed that everyone gets this charge and covers the in-room vinyl record player (which we did not use), off-street parking, and some other trivial things. The front desk staff informed me that it was like a resort fee that other properties charge. Why would the wait to put this on my bill until after I checked out? I feel that this is a dishonest way to do business. I did email the manager to have this charge reversed but I never heard from her.

We didn’t realize when booking that restaurant and live music didn’t happen on Mondays. We were there for college orientation so couldn’t change the dates
The hotel is nice enough but no in-room coffee! It’s trying to be a hip motel conversion with amenities like a record player in the room, but the lack of in room coffee shows they’re more about the Instagram than the actual guest experience.
(There is a coffee pot in the lobby downstairs in the morning but that’s a pain)

Staff was excellent and very accommodating.
Continental breakfast is Coffee and oatmeal. Not even a pastry or muffin etc.
Clean and good amenities. Free bikes were a really nice feature.
Again, it was a clean room, but I think the carpet may benefit from a replacement. It could have just been clean, but with stains, but I did wear socks around the room because of it. Everything else was great.
No breakfast included, but coffee available in lobby. Parking was limited for the amount of rooms, but it was free. I enjoyed the front patio on my ground floor room and heard live music at night
Not enough parking spaces. No privacy, since room located next to parking lot. I had to keep curtains closed the entire time
