Stay away at all cost!!!

First night, sleeping at 23:00 (11pm), suddenly hear the door being opened with a KEY and being banged several times against the security lock that luckily we (my wife and I) had set.

Staff from hotel... excuse that she wanted to open the aircon for guest arriving later... but nobody told her that the room is already occupied...

We went to police next morning reporting the event (report available). Wife who spoke in Thai with the staff assumes that this hotel staff rents out unused rooms under the table to sexworkers and might get a fee for preparing the room for short time use with running aircon...

Needless to say, we left this short time hotel next morning. Not really surprised that hotels.com is not able to get hold of ANY hotel management in order to get to the bottom of this scary event and issue me with full refund.

NOBODY should have to be subject to such treatment. It was scary and we feared for our life, as this staff lady really tried to force her way into the room.

Pros:

Small boutique hotel, spacious room, good bed and bedding. Good breakfast; eggs, fried rice, traditional thai rice soup and salad. No fruit though. Quiet area as it is away from city center and main roads. Hotel staff working hard to make stay pleasant. Taxi drivers had hard time finding hotel. 25 minute taxi ride to Roi Et airport, 250 baht cost. Great place to stay but far from city center. Add 200 baht round trip taxi ride each time you go into city. Free parking if you have vehicle.
