Ten North Tamarindo Beach Hotel

This little hotel was a gem! We were pleasantly surprised. For the price we thought we might be “Roughing it” a little but not at all! Its simplicity was charming! I’d stay again for sure…

We stayed at Ten North for 7 days in mid November. The location of the hotel is very good as you have easy access to the beach and the restaurants. It is a small hotel (16 rooms I believe) with very friendly and helpful staff. The staff will help you arrange your airport transfers and any tours you may want to go on. The rooms are a good size and the bed was comfortable. The hotel and the rooms were clean. The breakfast was very good and freshly made for you each morning by Laura. There is a small supermarket right across the street and a farmers market right next to the hotel on Saturdays. There is a skate/basketball park right next to the hotel so it can be noisy at night (till about 9) if you have a room on that side of the hotel. I would stay here again.

This was a great stay. Very convenient location to groceries across the street, multiple dining options and a short walk to the beach. Breakfast was different every day and cooked to perfection. It was so good that I would have felt guilty not tipping the cook - I think her name was Lara. My only suggestion would be to have a comfy couch instead of a 3rd bed in the seating/ family room area. It was a little awkward, our family of 4 gathered on a bed to watch our Netflix shows at night before bed but we made it work.

This is a gem of a hotel. Beautiful, clean rooms, secure, gated parking, and steps from the beach and Tamarindo restaurants and shops. We loved it!

A great budget option in Tamarindo All the staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and modern. Central location. Peaceful courtyard with a pool, tables and chairs, and some cushions to lounge on. Breakfast nice, but a bit pricey (the most expensive we had in 3 weeks in Costa Rica, Tamarindo is expensive). The upstairs rooms don't have a balcony, downstairs have own seats by pool, so go for a downstairs room if you can. Loads of towels provided. Free coffee.

This cute hotel is modest yet so clean and comfortable. Staff are friendly and helpful and it has a great location, super close to the beach! We'll be back for sure!

The A/C worked really well and the rooms were perfect for our family of four. The shower worked great. Our favorite part was waking up in the morning to the patio table set for breakfast and a delicious, fresh meal made as soon as we came out. Our girls enjoyed the pool and I enjoyed that we could watch them from under the fan on our patio. This was a great spot with easy walking to restaurants and the beach too!

You can tell everyone that works here cares about the place and the guests. We’ve stayed here a couple of times and will be back for sure. It’s just off the busy street and the beach is a quick walk away. Grocery store, yoga/pilates, skate park, amazing coffee and more is just steps away. Rooms are great. Highly recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay. We are a family of four and we had the two bedroom apartment off the pool. The rooms have a rustic tropical vibe that is minimalist and clean. We did not try to cook so I can’t speak to those supplies. Linens were comfortable. Bathroom was pretty spacious actually for a small rental. Air conditioner worked well and the temperature was always comfortable. Pool was wonderful - kept quite clean and never too busy. We had a patio off the pool with a large spacious table and bench. We had the breakfast included option and it did not disappoint! They wait for you to wake up and come outside to the patio, where they’ve already set your table. The breakfasts were so good - cooked on the spot and lots of local traditional foods with local fruits and fresh smoothies. Definitely recommend! The hotel is on the small side, which gives it a very personal feel. It was like our own little private oasis in the heart of the town. Very walkable. A small group of staff were very kind and professional and helped whenever you needed anything. I would definitely stay again. Wifi is spotty, fyi

Room was clean and close to the pool. It was very walkable to beach, food and local shops. Felt very safe to stay ( your given a traditional key on a bracelet). Staff was helpful. It definitely gave beach hotel and room was big.

Great place. Awesome location centrally located in the middle of town. Friendly staff - really felt like we were at home. The pool is beautiful too.

Simple but clean and functional rooms. We loved having the pool just steps from the door to our room. Great breakfasts included too.

Only downside was some noise - mostly at night from the park just behind the hotel. The rooms had noise machines, which helped a bit.

We stayed with our teenage daughter in a 2 bedroom apartment and had a fantastic time. The room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The staff is lovely and very helpful. We especially appreciated the delicious breakfast each morning. The location is really great. The hotel is right in the middle of town, close to 2 of our favorite restaurants (Breaking Bread & Green Papaya), and an easy walk to the beach. I was worried about noise from town but once you walk onto the grounds the hotel feels secluded and we didn't hear anything. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it.

Great location, walkable to everything, good breakfast, very friendly staff. Rooms felt tight but had everything we needed.

We booked this location based on other overall ratings but I would say its actual score is average. No WOW factor and one incident with one of the staff left us feeling a little annoyed…. Details of the situation are not important but let’s just say when

Excellent hotel to get away from it all and just relax. Karol and Lauren made the stay more pleasant with hospitality and awesome breakfast. Highly recommend and hope to be back soon.

Great place! Super cute. Best part, walking distance to absolutely everything! Including the beach. We had the best time here. Staff was great!
