My room had a cover to the HVAC system which was not flush against the wall. It was exposed with the filter and thick accumulated dust visible.

Expensive 550 for a night for sad hotel
Pros:

Staff was nice

Cons:

The coffee machine was broke the room we booked wasn’t available to us the parking was 60 a night and resort fee was 30 this isn’t a resort - there are tonnes of other options in the area choose elsewhere

Beautiful but Pricey
Pros:

We liked the terrace where we had a lovely dinner. The lobby was pretty. The rooms were nice as was the bathroom.

Cons:

I know that the PHH is in a wonderful vacation but feel it was very expensive. Over $500 a night is quite exorbitant. Despite the benefits of this hotel, I will probably look for a less expensive hotel.

Not worth the price
Pros:

Price doesnt match caliber. We paid $800 for a $200 room. First off check in / valet staff were very friendly and helpful. The room is blah blah blah. Old and drab. Furniture is beat up, bathroom is straight out of the eighties. Mildew in the shower, I wouldn’t even go in. Bed is uncomfortable, towels are rough and again doesn’t match the price. No safe, I have medicine that I take that can’t be left out plus jewelry … therefore had to take out with me to dinner …didn’t have high expectations… but was extremely disappointed.

Pros:

Location was amazing! Loved having a coffee bar on our floor and the outdoor patio was great. The entire staff were so helpful and gave lots of recommendations.

Great location and great service - an excellent combination
Pros:

My daughter and I stayed here while visiting the Old Port. The room was exactly as described and we had a lovely secluded patio that was surrounded by greenery. The hotel has a wonderful pantry on floors 2-5 which offer filtered water, sparkling water, and coffee along with breakfast pastries, yogurt, granola bars, and fruit as well as cookies in the afternoon. They charge a daily resort fee but let you apply charges in the hotel toward that amount. We got drinks and snacks from the market that were covered by the daily resort fee so we did not pay anything additional. The outdoor garden area is lovely and relaxing. Other than hearing planes overhead (as they're not far from the airport), it was a quiet oasis in the middle of Portland. Our bedroom was well appointed and nicely maintained/very clean. We had not problems sleeping as our room (which was not facing the road) was very quiet. The staff at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

Location is great for walking and the staff is well intentioned.

Cons:

An expensive hotel should not out complimentary breakfast on each floor only to let them run out and become limp. Don't bother. Staff means well but the training falls a little shy of expectations.

Centrally located, walkable, and convenient to everything. We really appreciated the terrace garden and pantry with snacks for guests. Kind and helpful staff

Wish there were other options for parking besides valet or street. Otherwise, there was nothing we did not like

Great location and very nice new rooms
Pros:

Great location to the shore area with restaurants and shops. The room was very nice with plenty of room for luggage and working area. Parking is in a garage across the street which is a pain but it's better than trying to find a parking spot on the street.

Delightful accommodations in the heart of Old Port with a nautical flair which was ideal for our fam
Pros:

Very beautiful interior, loved the nautical vibe. The refreshments and snacks were a surprising bonus. We enjoyed the location which was close to everything. Valet parking was convenient. We had a lovely breakfast in the on-site restaurant and several custom coffees...all were excellent. Tavis our waiter was very pleasant and attentive. We loved the outdoor patio in the evening and live music.
