The location ofvthw hotel is great. I was traveling for a job at the local canola oil plant, so the driving to work was 3 minutes.

Cons:

The price for the single room with two beds was too high as I needed something simple to spend a night between two shifts at work. Needed something smaller and cheaper..

The price was good. Although very simple, the breakfast was unexpected so it was a bonus. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

Cons:

There was little to no hot water in the am. The climate control was very confusing to use. Although the rooms themselves were nice and clean the common rooms were dated.

Pros:

I'm a U.S. citizen and was stuck in Canada, waiting for my passport to arrive in the mail. Everyone at the hotel was friendly, considerate, and genuinely concerned about my well-being. Each time I extended my stay (ended up waiting about a week for my passport), they asked if I was okay and ensured I was able to afford the extension. While my passport never arrived (I ended up having to travel to the Consulate for an emergency replacement), the Altona staff were so great, making the experience so much better. Really appreciate their kindness.

Pros:

My friends and I were in Altona for one night; we made the trip from South Dakota in the U.S. and were in anitoba as a bucketlist item to spend a night in all the Canadian provinces. We got to the hotel rather late, and the front desk attendant was friendly and helpful. It's an older property, but the room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay.
