La Negra Surf Hotel

El hotel es sencillo pero con bien gusto. Todo limpio y cómodo.

The location to the beach is amazing - just a 2-3 minute walk.
The family that runs the hotel is wonderful - they went above to make our stay enjoyable.
Walking distance to restaurants.
Common kitchen has filtered water.

We had a wonderful stay at La Negra Surf Hotel in Nosara. From the very beginning, we were warmly welcomed by the owner and the managers Nina and Julian. They are not only incredibly friendly but also very relaxed and truly embody the “Pura Vida” spirit. They were always happy to help with anything we needed.

The hotel itself is fantastic. Very clean rooms, thoughtfully designed, and functional while still feeling cozy. Its location is perfect, just a short distance from the beautiful Playa Guiones, making it ideal for beach days and surfing.

Overall, it was a beautiful stay in an authentic place full of surfer vibes. We would definitely come back and highly recommend La Negra Surf Hotel to anyone visiting Nosara!

We had an issue with our booking from Booking.com and Julian (New Manager) was able to resolve it and make sure we had a wonderful stay. Highly recommend this great place!

L’hôtel est idéalement situé à quelques pas de la plage, c’est assez rare à Nosara !
La chambre spacieuse disposait d’un très bel espace extérieur avec cuisine, hamac..
Très belle ambiance et surtout un très bon restaurant! Important de le signaler, car ce n’est pas le cas partout! Bar à cocktail sympa 🍾
L’hôtel a été refait et repris par un nouveau propriétaire depuis quelques mois.

Isabel the manager was very helpful and commutative during my stay.
Great location. Juan Carlos is the surf instructor and he was very helpful in getting a board with lesson.

Wow! The set up at La Negra is excellent;
- Perfect location, on a quiet back street, and as close to the beach and surf breaks as it is possible to get, through a short jungle walk
- Great hospitality - Isabel and the team were really helpful and friendly, easily extending my stay, and create a great vibe
- Excellent surf coaching - Juan Carlos is awesome, and really helped me progress my surfing. I am an infrequent middle aged surfer, and he took me back to basics to work through the proper foundation techniques, with quick progression to help me develop my skills - it gave me a lot of confidence, and clear improvements to my capability - he has a great approach and attitude, and I'd highly recommend booking a block of sessions with him, as that way you will get maximum benefits.
- Great environment, with a relaxing pool area, good rooms, and the adjacent cafe serves excellent breakfast and delicious lunch
Overall, amongst the best places I've stayed, and I definitely plan on returning.

I really enjoyed the pool. It was a perfect cool down after a really hot day. I did laps back-and-forth and I love the atmosphere.. I also came in pretty late for my travels and I was able to do a self check in. They were kind enough to leave me my keys in a lock box that I was able to access no problem.
