The hotel itself is a good place to stay, but I do not recommend dining at their restaurant.
Pros:

We stayed at Hotel Heladiv in Anuradhapura with a large family group, and overall had a pleasant stay.

Pros:

The hotel is clean and well maintained.
Rooms are comfortable and clean.
Bathrooms are very clean and well kept.
The staff are friendly, helpful, and accommodating.

Cons:

The biggest downside is the restaurant pricing. Food and drinks are significantly overpriced compared to nearby restaurants. For example, a single bottle of water was LKR 350 when the same bottle costs around LKR 100 outside the hotel. For our group of 12 adults and 10 children, we were charged over LKR 40,000 for a string hopper meal, which was more than three times what similar food would cost at nearby restaurants. We found the lunch menu to be similarly expensive, and in our opinion, the food quality did not justify the premium prices.

Pros:

Tout est parfait , que ce soit l‘accueil , le personnel , les chambres , les repas et petits déjeuners au restaurant.
Hôtel c’est même occupé de nous organiser les visites du site archéologique et de mihintale (pour le coucher du soleil ) ainsi que des massages en chambres pour ma femme.

Nous avons pus prolongé d’une nuit notre séjour dés notre arrivée.

L’hôtel se situe à 5 km avant Anuradhapura facile d’accès en tuk tuk .

Heerlijk verblijf in Anuradhapura!
Pros:

We verbleven hier voor de 2e keer (eerste keer in 2024) en de kwaliteit is nog net zo goed! Heerlijke kamer met een zacht bed, fijne badkamer, schoon en sfeervol. Ook het zwembad is heerlijk om einde dag even te kunnen afkoelen. Het personeel is vriendelijk, gastvrij en professioneel. Het restaurant serveert heerlijk eten en de beste kottu die we in Sri Lanka gehad hebben! (op loopafstand zijn eigenlijk geen andere restaurants). Al met al een erg fijn verblijf gehad!

Cons:

Eigenlijk niets. Alles was goed :)

Pros:

Heel vriendelijke hotel manager en ook het andere personeel. We kwamen zalig tot rust na een toer in Anuradapura door hen georganiseerd. De gids sprak perfect Engels en we konden er alles aan vragen.

Prachtig en zeer proper verblijf
Pros:

Ons verblijf in hotel Heladiv was zeer aangenaam.
Het hotel is zeer hygiënisch en enorm vriendelijk personeel.
Het vormde de perfect uitvalsbasis voor onze safari in Wilpattu.
Een echte aanrader.

Prima verblijf voor een dag.
Pros:

Mooie tuin en vriendelijke mensen, ze staan klaar voor je. Hele fijne gids geregeld voor ons. Niks is teveel gevraagd.

Cons:

Wij waren de enigen, heel veel personeel wat een beetje rondloopt en zelf hier en daar languit ligt. Het geeft niet zo een fijne gevoel om in het zwembad te gaan als de manager of de medewerker op een ligstoel ligt. Personeel mag meer ervaring opdoen in de zin van “hoe ga je om met gasten” Voorbeeld: je zit aan tafel, er is geen water, je vraagt om water krijg je geen glas. Je wil het zwembad in krijg je een handdoek, maar je moet dan vragen om kussen voor de stoelen. Je krijgt eten, maar geen bestek. We snappen ook niet zo goed de reviews van het ontbijt. We kregen bordje fruit, ei en kop koffie. Brood moesten we zelf vragen. Misschien missen wij iets of komt dit allemaal omdat wij de enigen waren.

Erg fijn hotel
Pros:

De mensen zijn enorm behulpzaam en staan elk moment van de dag voor je klaar. Alles was brandschoon! Het ontbijt was meer dan genoeg en de keuze voor diner is ook goed. De locatie is net buiten de stad, wij vonden dat erg prettig.
