Scam reservation
Pros:

We booked this property 8 months in advance to stay during our daughter’s graduation from Harvard college. On the day of arrival I tried to get in touch with the company in order to ask for any details that we needed to check in. I never received an answer although I contacted them through email, asking them to email me back or even text message me.The phone number for this company is not in service, so I could not call them. Than, I contacted hotels.com regarding getting in touch with the company managing this property. Hotels.com gave me the same phone number listed on their website which does not work. We made it to the property and the lady at the front desk did not have any reservation under our name. It is all a scam! So basically we wereleft with no reservation when all the hotels in Cambridge were booked for Harvard graduation weekend.

Better for longer trips
Pros:

The suite itself was beautiful. There's a lot of construction in the area, so in a while I'm sure there will be a lot going on in the neighborhood. The location was great for Uber-ing into Boston for cheap. The not so good? I get that it's a "self-service suite," but we asked for an extra soap because there was no soap dish in the shower and the soap disintegrated on the first day. In response I got a voicemail encouraging me to go to a CVS. Lame. For the amount of money you spend on the room, is a bar of soap so much to ask for? I think I would have been a lot less annoyed if we'd been there for a week or two, but we were only there a few days. Having to buy soap for a hotel we're staying in a few days, especially with how much money the room costs, is pretty annoying.

Pros:

In a sharp vicissitude of experience with this site, my most recent trip to Boston has strongly soured my opinion of hotels.com.
1. I assumed I would only find hotels on this site, not an “air bnb” of someone’s apartment. My trip was for business, which required the amenities of a hotel (i.e. printing, gym, etc). It was an unpleasant surprise.
2. Something I have always appreciated about this site is the honesty with which prices are shown. However, my nightly rate was DOUBLED by “mandatory fees” which I didn’t notice until I left the apartment, as you can imagine I was/am livid.

Nice studio apartment
Pros:

Nice studio. Two problems. No water view or nearby grocery store although they were both cited in the description.

Not a real hotel
Pros:

The studio was fine. The layout a bit linear and the oversized TV could not be rotated, so eating on a high table and chairs was uncomfortable. and not within easy sight of the TV. Enviable kitchen. Neighbors at the computer room in the other building somewhat rude and oblivious to their loudness.
The staff was the brightest spot.

close to MIT
Pros:

Extremely well located to the T Red line. Concierge was extremely helpful. Room was small, but kitchen facilities were very good.

No thrills
Pros:

This was a conveniently located accommodation, without any thrills. The apartment has all the basics, good for a longer stay (1-2 weeks), a washing machine is a nice option to have.

There lots of nice restaurants in the area, and it's close to the MTBA red line.

The lobby is very nice and can be considered 'luxury', the apartment is just OK.

AVOID THIS PLACE!
Pros:

It is very difficult to reach to the number given at any time. Even though you luckily connected to the receptionist, they are very rude. The comforter was stinky when I went to bed. Most pathetic was the bathmat, it was full of hairs!

Remade condos make a nice hotel.
Pros:

This was a very surprising find for my trip to Boston this year, maybe two blocks from Kendall square, and a great deal with the airline bundle. They advertise that they don't have daily housecleaning, and the front desk is shared with condos elsewhere in the building. But for all that unusual setup, the suites were well appointed, and modern - overall a great deal.

Pros:

The reviews about having a hard time checking in were inaccurate in my experience. They were right there when we got there in the middle of the night, and every time we passed the concierge station thereafter. When the local phone number was down for a bit (through no fault of LYX) I got the owner on the phone from a provided number.

Nice place. Terrible mattress. Left early.
Pros:

Almost everything about this apartment was wonderful - except for the thing that mattered most... the mattress in room 1503 was so terrible that I couldn't stay the second night, and I moved into a local B&B instead. The center of the mattress sagged until it nearly touched the floor. One terrible night of sleep was enough for me to leave the keys in the room and walk away. Too bad, too, because the room had a nice view and all the amenities. Nobody, though, should ever sleep on that mattress again. Alas.

Not set up for short stays, but nice
Pros:

Check-in was difficult at best, and there was a cleaning fee that was added to the bill, but the apartment was excellent. Good for a long-ish stay, though. Fully stocked kitchen, great wifi, and excellent access to MIT
