Beautiful hotel with great surroundings
The grounds were lovely
Room too small especially for the price, rather stuffy as heating was on; poor breakfast time and was surprisingly a buffet
The staff were lovely and very helpful. Great place to stay for the night in a beautiful location. Nice outdoors area and grounds to walk around. Room stocked with tea coffee hot chocolate and biscuits.
It was quite hard to get to the nearest town as had to go down the side of the road.
The building and facilities all fantastic the staff extremely friendly and professional the grounds are stunning
The only little thing about are room was the mattress very comfy but with a kind of separation in the middle that made it weird
I can not recommend staying here!
I booked this hotel for my partner's birthday, and we encountered so many issues that ruined the stay completely.
Firstly, it is advertised as a dog friendly hotel, but it is not clear on their website that there is a pet charge. We were almost allocated a room that could not accommodate our dog.
The room was not clean. There was half eaten food left in the room and crumbs on the floor.
There was a light in the room that could not be switched off making it difficult to sleep.
The advertised dog walks on their map were not accessible.
The room service in the evening took a very long time.
The room service for breakfast, that we organised with the reception staff, didn't even bother to turn up!
When you book a hotel, the bare minimum you expect is a clean room and a good night's sleep. With the Barnett Hill Hotel you don't get either!
Lovely location, amazing building and helpful staff.
It is starting to look like it needs a refresh. Some of the carpets are need replacing, paint work needs attention - just looks like it is lacking care.
Clean tidy staff very professional
Same
Great character
In need of refreshment. Staff indifferent. Should have been exceptional at the price
I've stayed at this hotel before years ago. I liked the plenty of parking and the gardens and foyers of the hotel are beautiful. The young man checking me in was pleasant and helpful.
My room was v expensive £170 - (no breakfast)it was nice and roomy and the bedding and toiletires were lovely. It was not though in the central hotel. I was disappointed not to get a bath for that money as pictures showed one, and the hairdryer could not be found. Next time I would not spend the extra for a kingsize room. My sat nav suggested the hptel was earlier than it was - so do drive on a bit - roads are very windy.
nearly everything !
fried eggs for breakfast would be good
Outside of property was beautiful
Inside of property was tired
No lift
The person there at check in time possibly had a cold but sniffed very loudly every 10 seconds. It was very off putting.
No staff there to greet me at breakfast. Staff generally not engaged. Really odd contrast to the spiel about the amazing service when you call turns hotel.
Light in bathroom couldn’t be switched off.
The room was ok. a little smaller than expected. Very clean.
We could have had more soap, hair shampoo and shower gel.
I'm local and stayed with a friend who came down from Milton Keynes to go to a local event. Your staff couldn't have been more helpful. The room was lovely and had everything we needed. Food excellent and as I'm a local person we were given 20% of food and drinks. We'll be back for sure...Thank you..
I loved everything....
A beautiful hotel in the countryside with lovely gardens. Staff are so friendly and helpful, really make you feel welcomed. We have been upgraded to a better room the second night which really made our stay much more pleasant
