Comfortable room gave a good nights sleep after long day travelling.
Pros:

A bit quirky & plenty of character. Helpful & friendly staff

Cons:

No mirror in the bedroom. Every woman needs a mirror to do their hair in the morning & providing a hairdryer that can’t be used in a bathroom is not of any use.

Welcoming oasis in an amazingly remote location
Pros:

Great location, hearty breakfast and good choice of dishes in the bar/restaurant.

Cons:

I found my (single) bed mattress far too soft and uncomfortable so slept badly, I think it needs replacing!

Pros:

Dog friendly. Good brekkie. Nice pub food for dinner. Lovely back bar we could sit with dog.
Easy off motorway but lovely village location - not motorway services! Lovely walk out back of hotel up heritage railway.

Cons:

Room a bit too hot for us , so opened window and turned radiator off.

The Hopetoun Arms is just such a nice place to be. The quiet ambience is quite therapeutic.
Pros:

The full Scottish naturally. Most excellenty.

Cons:

Perhaps a few more coffee satchets and milk pots in the room would be nice for us caffeine addicts.

Delicious Food - New Menu
Pros:

Heard there was a new menu being launched today, so decided to treat ourselves - we have not been disappointed. The menu caters for many tastes including, vegetarian, vegan and gluten free. Reasonably priced food which is delicious, well presented, ample and served with a smile. The cozy fire in the lounge is just a bonus to the ambience. Definitely worth a visit.
