Novotel Jeddah Tahlia

There were several issues that, if I had known about them before booking, I would not have chosen this hotel:
- Room service is available only during limited hours (about from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM). This information was not clearly stated during the booking process or explained at check-in desk.
- The refrigerator in the suite did not work, which caused all of our food to spoil, including food for our children. When we reported this, we were informed that the suite does not have a proper refrigerator, only a unit that maintains room temperature and does not cool food. However, the booking details stated that the suite includes a refrigerator. The hotel did not resolve the issue, change the room, or offer to cancel the remaining nights, despite our stay being nearly two weeks. The management’s response and communication were very poor.
- The carpet in the suite was very dirty and worn.
- The hotel was disorganised and the overall cleanliness was below an acceptable standard.
The only positive aspect of this hotel is its location.

Extremely good and comfortable stay. Great breakfast selection. The staff did their best to take care of the needs of my kids and us. Mr. Hanif at breakfast buffet was extremely helpful and made sure we were entertained well. Will definitely go there again.

The hotel and the staff are very nice. Abdulaleem was very attentive and kind in the restaurant. I recommend it to everyone!

Breakfast was very efficiently managed, with good attention to detail. Great experience at the egg counter and in getting my coffee just right!

Good variety of main breakfast dishes, plus additional menu on the buffet of other local and intl. foods. Good selection of sweets and other condements, like sambosa and pancakes. Great ambience to eat, chat and relax.

Very pleasant stay, with staff that goes the extra mile to be friendly and helpful. Room was very comfortable and neat. The reception and dining room staff were super nice, thank you.

Room key was not working. Room telephone was not working. I had to call the reception every time from my roaming number. The room didn’t even have body lotion. When I called reception they didn’t provide.

the staff is very kind, they are always available, the breakfasts are really special, you can find everything sweet and savoury, I have to compliment IFTEKHAR, a very kind guy ......................................................

Robin and the coffee bar was super nice and helpful so was Rakan at reception. The service in general is super good and the room clean

This was my second stay at this hotel, which is part of the Accor group. I booked it to celebrate my wife’s birthday, hoping for a memorable experience. While the stay was generally pleasant, it fell short in a few areas.

✅ Pros:
• Comfortable Room: The room was clean and comfortable, offering a relaxing environment.
• Friendly Staff: The hotel staff were courteous and helpful. A special shoutout to the Bangladeshi gentleman at the pool – very polite and welcoming.
• Decent Pool Area: The pool was enjoyable, and facilities like the steam room and sauna were available (though advance booking was needed).
• Tasty Breakfast: Although limited in variety, the breakfast items were flavorful and satisfying.

❌ Cons:
• Missing Basic Amenities: The room lacked essential items like a proper set of towels (no hand or face towels), a dental kit, and an iron.
• Uncomfortable Pillows: The pillows weren’t as good as those we experienced at Novotel Makkah Thakher.
• No Special Touch: Despite it being our second visit and a birthday celebration, there was no special gesture such as complimentary sweets or a welcome note – something we’ve appreciated at other Accor properties. Perhaps this was due to peak season.
• Limited Steam/Sauna Access: We were told to return at 1 PM to use the steam and sauna, which disrupted our schedule slightly.

Overall:
It was a comfortable and decent stay with friendly service, but it lacked the extra touches that make a stay feel special. Good for a short visit, but there’s room for improvement, especially in guest experience for returning visitors.

Room was spacious and bed was comfort able. Breakfast is great but would be better if they include asian choices. Very friendly staff. Zaffar was accommodating. The pool could also be better with more heating. Room amenities was lacking, they dnt have hair conditioner and toothbrush bt was provided when asked, except for the conditioner.
