Clef des Iles

Wow! We loved this place. Really unique. To have the back steps onto the sand and to be able to wake up and see those stunning views and watch the sunset. These were really special moments of our holiday. Spacious rooms with the biggest beds ever. We had a two bed villa. Beautiful furnishings and styling. Lovely touch that you receive a fruit platter and carafe of juice every day. Also loved that they filled up our glass bottles of water daily so we didn’t need to buy plastic bottles. We walked the length of the beach and honestly think this was the best place to be. Friendly and helpful owners, would recommend without hesitation.

Tolle Lage ! Direkt am Strand - aufstehen und sofort ins Meer hüpfen :)
Sehr nette Inhaber - sehr hilfsbereit und man kann Frühstück dazu nehmen - dass täglich im Apartment dann frisch zubereitet wird.
Wir haben unsere Zeit als Familie sehr genossen !

The apartment is perfectly located and the doors open out onto the beach, it was just as described. There was everything there you could need and the staff were brilliant Catherine was very helpful giving restaurant recommendations and advice on places to go. Every morning there was a plate of fresh fruit and jug of lime juice. It was well and truly iddyllic

This place is amazing. Period. The four suites open right onto the beach with the sand and surf on your toes when you walk out the front door. Our suite was clean and well stocked, the proprietor was kind and helpful at every turn. The location is right next to a diving center "Equinoxe Diving School" that is top notch and has great service - we did a basic dive and the owner and her staff are awesome, plus a car rental across the street ("Africar") where the owner there was very reasonable about renting cars. Food at the pizza store was mediocre, but if you walk about 100 feet to the Boat House- they have a great vibe restaurant facing the water as well. Overall awesome place to park for a vacation.

Was für eine tolle Lage , absolut direkt auf dem weißen feinen Sandstrand.
Terassengitter öffnen, und man ist wirklich auf dem Sand!
Bessere Lage kann es kaum geben.
Natürlich hat man immer neugierige Blicke der vorbeilaufenden Touristen, und es liegen gleich davor Leute im Sand, weil links der Tamakabaum Schatten spendet, aber wenn man damit kein Problem hat, näher am Strand geht nicht !!
Links daneben befindet sich eine Tauchschule, rechts die Baobab Pizzeria.
Das Meer ist abhängig von Ebbe und Flut mal glasklar, mal trübe, auch Müll sieht man leider ab und zu im Wasser, vermutlich vom Bach, der 100m rechts ins Meer läuft.
Schnocheln kann man getrost vergessen, aber man sieht frühmorgens einige kleine Haie und Rochen ganz rechts an den Felsen,gegenüber von Mikes Shop.
Das Apartment erstreckt sich über 2 Etagen, also Maisonette.
Oben sind 2 Schlafzimmer, beide mit AC, und Deckenventillator, eines mit einem kleinen TV.
Safe und ein Klo sowie ein kleiner Balkon mit Blick aufs Meer sind vorhanden.
Auf dem Balkon steht ein Wäscheständer.
Man liegt im Bett und hört das Meer rauschen, in dem zum Meer gerichteten Zimmer.
Unten befinden sich ein Bad mit Regendusche und Toilette, die Gut ausgestattete Küche, bis auf einen Backofen ist alles da, sowie der Wohnraum mit großzügiger Terasse.
Es werden 2 Liegestühle zur Verfügung gestellt.
Im EG ist keine AC, was uns nicht gestört hat, ein Standventillator pustet gut durch.
Die Waschbecken im Bad und der Küche haben nur Kaltwasser.

Nette Begrüssung durch Gastgeberin, täglich frische Früchte und grstis Trinkwasser, direkter Meerzugang, fancy Einrichtung, Klimaanlage. Alles in allem eine grossartige Unterkunft.

Hébergement très confortable, spacieux et bien aménagé ! Très bien situé près des restaurants et surtout cette vue… comme dans un bateau! Magique..

A warm welcome is worth a million dollars. Cathérine is a perfect host with a heart and a smile. Also she welcomes her guests with lots of valuable information of the area.
The duplex are directly on the beach and the interior is simple but lovely. A light modern beach style that makes you feel at home immediately. The rooms are cleaned daily and also towles are exchanged regularly. Guests receive free water every day. Also the little NOKIA that serves to make local calls is a great help.
If you wish you can self-cater, but there is also the option to get a fresh breakfast cooked in your own kitchen in the morning.
Having the beach in front of your door is the best thing ever! You go to sleep @the ocean and you wake up to it.

This was our second time staying at Clef des Iles. We last stayed here in 2010 and I have wonderful memories. I wondered if the place would live up to expectations -- actually, it was better. The duplexes have been well maintained, and the local character of this part of Beau Vallon hasn't changed much from my memory.

You can't beat the amazing location right on the beach. I would often see people staying in the resorts at the other end of Beau Vallon walk past and look enviously at our accommodation / ask questions.

We loved being able to cook at home... buying fresh fruit from the vendor next door, freshly caught red snapper from fisherman a two-minute walk down the road, and essentials from grocery stores a short walk away. We also loved ordering from Baobab pizza and having it delivered to our dining table. Or walking to any of the restaurants or food trucks nearby. So easy.

Marquise is a wonderful host and the cleaning staff were fabulous. They brought us fresh fruit every morning.

I would highly recommend Clef des Iles to independent-minded travellers who want to experience a great Seychelles experience and don't like big resorts.

Amazing. can agree with former writer Samar. Marquis was so very nice. Early check-in and late check-out. have been to Mahe earlier and this is by far the best beach in Mahe and Clef is on the by far best part of the best beach. Marquis and the staff is very kind, nice and service minded. The setting is beautiful and the evening sun is to die for. Highly recommended. There is some very cute geckos running around night time so bring your earpluggs. :)

Joining others in praising this wonderful spot. We had a nice two bedroom air conditioned apartment with spectacular view right on the beach. What could be better? Marquise was an excellent host and everything went smoothly. She gave us a bit early check in and later checkout. There were fresh fruits every morning and the drinking water replenishment. Behind the hotel quite nice Wooden House restaurant for dinner and five minutes walk Dolce Vita for excellent breakfasts and lunches. Will return. Definitely recommended!

Amazing location. Great hospitality by the manager/owner. Very comfortable.

A really cute place for a family, Marquis the manager is very friendly and helpful, clean , they provide you with a free local phone and sim card which was very useful, they cook live breakfast for you if you ask for it , free drinking water, free big plate of fresh tropical fruits every morning, very good value for money, and we met the neighbors and went out with them for dinner. Many activities and restaurants near by. They gave us late checkout because our flight got delayed.

Tres joli hotel avec un superbe decor. Les chambres sont espacieux et la cuisine tres bien equippee. La plage est a 2 pas et le soleil couche juste en face. Calme et relaxant. La proprietaire et l’equipe sont tres hospitalieres. J’aimerais retourner a cet hotel si je reviens encore a Mahe.

This isn’t the cheapest place to stay in Beau Vallon but is incredibly good value compared to the larger hotels, especially given it’s absolutely unique location right on the beach and with a beach and sea view to die for.
The apartment was spacious and perfect for our family of 4. The kids (10 and 13) could literally head out snorkeling, swimming or go for a walk along the beach safely and freely straight from the accommodation. We were provided with fresh fruits and juice every morning.
The beach was so clean, quiet and safe and at no point during our entire stay in the Seychelles, did I feel hassled or pressured to buy anything- the people were so friendly, respectful and happy! Shops and restaurants are close by.
Lindy, the property manager was very helpful and extremely accommodating. My only very small management suggestion would be to ensure that customers have access to up to date and accurate info regarding the covid tests required to return home.
This place is absolute paradise and I would definitely return. It was absolutely wonderful ❤️

We stayed in Clef de Iles for 4 nights, and are definitely going to come back. I couldn’t describe in word the beauty of the place. Starting with its location, at the edge of one of the nicest beaches we have been to. With clean white sand and crystal clear water. The place offer only 4 units each with couple of bedrooms, small kitchen and a living room that opens out straight to the beach and water. The view from both the living space on the ground floor and the bedroom balcony of the floor above, is like a dream. From the morning to the amazing sunsets it’s all unimaginable. The place is perfectly run by Lindy, whom I can not describe how amazing she is. Lindy took care of every little request we had, from booking an amazing one day private boat trip for us to every little request like towels or laundry, all with a smile and the most attentive to our comfort. We are a family of 5 (two adults and three children) and were very comfortable staying in the two bedroom unit. We enjoyed the Beau Vallon beach, and all it has to offer like water sports and activities, restaurants and of course the amazing clear white sand and clear calm water. We never stated in a place so close (few steps) from the water.
It’s not a fancy place, but that’s what’s so amazing about it. It’s very comfortable and examples the perfect balance between comfort and nature.

Wow- how amazing is this place! Really nice guest house in Beau Vallon.
The location is perfect. Right at the beach, really spacious, clean and the breakfast is very yummy.
Everyone goes out of their way to make the holiday wonderful- we even got some champagne for our honeymoon!
We wouldn’t have wanted to stay anywhere else- this is much better than many hotels.
