First Class Experience, and extra help at a difficult time
Pros:

We checked-in for a 3-night stay in July 2026. Everything was amazing -- the staff, room, and setting. Unfortunately our trip was cut short in the middle of the first night, when we learned that our son had a medical emergency and was in a hospital back home in Florida. Despite the early hour, the staff was very helpful getting our room and rental car cleaned-out so that we could get to the airport. Big thanks to Evan and everyone! Plus they even refunded our last 2 nights.

Wonderful experience at The Blake—we want to go back!
Pros:

We loved the location of The Blake! The grounds and pool are immaculately maintained. The view from the pool is amazing—the river is beneath the pool and hot tub area and we got to enjoy the duck races on the 4th of July celebration! The staff was friendly, attentive, and made the experience altogether wonderful. Beautiful hiking trails are a short distance away!

A FIND for sure!
Pros:

Arrived for the holiday weekend and was greeted immediately by Tristan with wonderful suggestions for my trip. Emma checked me in and said all information for my stay is done by text 24/7 and that is the truth! Every question or need was met promptly. The accommodations are fantastic. I had someone say, “oh, so expensive”…not for what you get here! The room had lovely decor, a huge soaking tub, balcony with seating, a small frig, the bed had tons of pillows and so comfy! Dogs are very welcome almost everywhere. The pool and hot tub are small but we’re sufficient even with a busy weekend of guests. The 192 had great atmosphere and food. My waiter, James treated me like I was a regular and knew just how to make my dinner feel special. They offer jeep rides to the top for more dining options. Again, superb service and lots of great info for my trip. Shopping was limited but met my needs easily. There was a nice coffee shop with great breakfast foods to sit outside. Music played on the plaza during the day. Hiking was as hard or easy as you wanted it to be. The biking lift looked so fun! Of course the views from the top are breathtaking. I will definitely return and it is well worth the cost!

Affordable luxury for locals on Community Weekend
Pros:

The ski valley hosts a community weekend for residents of Taos county and the Blake slashes their usual rates in half for us! The hotel is top notch; classic high end featuring spotless rooms, large, well-appointed bathrooms, balconies, spa, gym, hot tubs, pool, guest laundry, valet services, local art and artifacts from the ski valley's past. Well behaved pets are welcome and the hotel's restaurant and bar are fantastic with reasonable prices for good food. We appreciated the welcoming staff and the music, free yoga classes and free rides up the mountain on the chair lift! They treated us like royalty and we basked in the luxury. Highly recommend.

A+ Outstanding Stay in a Beautiful Hotel
Pros:

What a special place. The rooms are spacious and beautifully appointed and the amenities are top notch. Even more awesome than the physical space and beautiful location is the quality of the service you receive from the Hausmeister team when during your stay. Margaret, Evan and the entire Blake staff made our group - grandparents, kids and dogs alike- feel at ease and like we were part of the family from the moment we set foot on the property. This was our first stay at the Blake, but we will 100% be back.

Amazing still after 10 years… The Blake!
Pros:

Last stayed at the Blake when they had a soft opening in 2017. Brand new and a nice property right in the gut of the ski village. Roll forward almost 10 years… my son and I camped on the parking lot for two nights to summit Mt. Wheeler and mountain bike. For our last night, we reserved a room at the Blake. We walked in around 11:00 am to see if we could use the pool and shower. Low and behold, Margaret at the front desk, asked if we’d like our room at that time. Well, of course, we said! She was extremely nice and very professional. The valet parked our roof top camper and made sure it would fit in the 8’ clear garage. As I pulled in, Michael the valet, said I had at least 6-7” to spare.

As we walked to our room, I thought the place still looked new. Certainly well maintained and very clean. Our room, too, looked brand new and was spotless. We proceeded to the fitness room to shower and change for the pool. The men’s locker room had nice lockers and it was spotless. A Blake employee was finishing up with cleaning the sinks and then disappeared as we got ready for the pool and hot tub. Plenty of towels, the pool and hot tub area was clean and tidy with no towels in the hamper… it was tended to while we were in the hot tub. We later used the steam room in the men’s locker room. It worked well… tons of steam. I’d say the fitness center and locker rooms were renovated recently. I used the Peloton later in the day and it was the newest version. All the equipment was updated and clean.

We ate at restaurant 192, which was super good. A limited menu as it was shoulder season. The fire roasted peaches over chili honey Greek yogurt were SO good. Service was excellent… Joshua and Nolan and the GM were all super accommodating and friendly.

I highly recommend this property!

The best place to stay to ski Taos with your family!
Pros:

This was our second stay at The Blake with the family.

If you are going to ski Taos, this is THE place to stay. The ski valet is a difference maker.

Dinner at 192 was delicious, and the entire staff was friendly, and they really went out of their way to make sure our stay was exactly what we wanted.

We were there mostly the ski, and the proximity to the slopes, the heated pool (with two hot tubs), and the aforementioned ski valet made the experience wonderful.

We'll be back for sure.

Best place to stay in Taos
Pros:

This was our 2nd trip to The Blake and we can't recommend it enough. Service is amazing, setting is perfect, location is unbeatable, rooms and amenities are all very nice -- but it's the staff that truly make this place special. From the moment we set foot on property we felt pampered. Our bags and skis were whisked away without us having to touch a thing. Every morning we popped down to ski valet and the staff greeted us with smiles, warm boots, and dry skis. Loved every minute!

Amazing!
Pros:

Definitely going back! We had several meals at 192, the food was incredible! Our rooms was spacious and well equipped. Text communication with staff during our stay was very convenient. Steam room, pool and hot tub were great after a long day of travel or hitting the slopes. Oh, and we found some great runs too.
