Solia Legian Bali – A Very Pleasant Surprise
I travel to Bali fairly regularly and, despite walking past it countless times, I'd never really considered staying at Solia Legian.
This visit was a bit of a last-minute booking and, honestly, it turned out to be one of the pleasant surprises of the trip.
Check-in was smooth and efficient, helped by an excellent porter and welcoming reception staff who made a great first impression.
My Premier Room on the 4th floor was outstanding. Modern, spacious and thoughtfully designed, with plenty of storage, a safe, fridge, tea and coffee facilities, a good-sized television and a balcony. The bathroom was particularly impressive, with a large shower and enough bench and shelf space to accommodate all the lotions, potions and travel essentials that seem to multiply in my suitcase.
The facilities are excellent. The first-floor pool and bar area has plenty of loungers and a relaxed atmosphere. Upstairs on the 4th floor is what is described as a jacuzzi, although "small pool" might be a more accurate description. It's larger than expected, a lovely spot to cool off, and has a great adjoining bar.
Breakfast was served in a huge dining room on the 4th floor and was one of the better hotel breakfasts I've had recently. Plenty of choice, an egg station, fresh options, and most importantly a cool, clean and comfortable environment. There is also a restaurant and bar area on the first floor with both indoor and outdoor seating.
The only downside is occasional traffic noise, but that's hardly surprising given the hotel's location on one of Legian's busiest intersections. The flip side is that you're incredibly central and within easy walking distance of restaurants, bars, shopping and the beach.
I was only here for a quick two-night stopover, but I'd happily stay again. Next time I might request a room further towards the rear of the property or perhaps try one of the Deluxe rooms.
Close to a lot of things and staff are nice
Paper thin walls could hear everything
Nice and central to markets and airport. Comfortable room, friendly staff and atmosphere. I would definitely stay here again.
Clean , well located to shops and restaurants.
The hot water was Luke warm to cool
Love the room, friendly staff, breakfast and service was amazing. Made it special for my Birthday as they decorated the room
The traffic noise
Great location, food and Pools.
The suites are very spacious and clean. The bedding was generous and the bedding was very comfortable the bathroom very tidy and clean. Probably too noisy to sit on the balcony though.
The suites are located very close to the main road. Which is very very loud, especially at night when the party busses are traveling past as well as constant loud motorbikes. The hotel does provide ear plugs though, to assist with the noise.
pool room staff
nothing
Great Hotel. good cheap food. Very nice staff. Close to all the action.
Great location and walk distance to everything
The swimming is bit small and not very deep.
Room was clean. Pools were clean. Very helpful staff.
No real atmosphere or vibe. Very quiet & not so great for a solo traveller. Pool bar closed early.
I have stayed in Bali many times - I think Solia is the best value for money I have ever come across
Clean & modern with great staff , food & a central location
Location is great close to lots of restaurants and shops Staff very friendly and helpful
Not enough pool side chairs around the pool. Can be a bit noisy with road traffic
This was our first visit to Bali. We arrived late in the evening to what was an unexpectedly warm welcome. From then on I would describe our stay here at the Solia Legan Bali as thoroughly enjoyable. The staff greet you with warm genuine smiles and were always happy to help, the food was excellent, and our room cleaner PeePee was amazing and despite my messiness he kept our room spotless. We loved Bali, the people, the culture, the history and the vibrancy of life here. Solia Legan Hotel put us in an ideal spot to explore and experience it all.
