Right in the middle of town, lovely big fire place.
Rooms were a little cold
It was a pleasant place to stay. The meal was excellent. The room was large and comfortable and the location was quiet enough.
Old charm
Price
Great location, a quick walk from the station. Open fire in the lounge area & good food. Kettle in the room plus a shared kitchen with extra tea & coffee & milk.
No TV in the rooms but I didn't really mind. Stairs so be prepared or ask for a room on the ground floor if this is an issue for you. Bar closes early so be prepared for that too.
Great atmosphere and cleanliness
Still had to get used to the shower in the room
The village is lovely, hotel food excellent
Stayed 2 nights and they didn’t make up my room.
Loverly little place very clean nice food at the bistro what you would expect from a country hotel
There was no fridge for my medication in my room the freight trains coming past were very noisy at all hours
Comfortable ensuite room opeining onto a shared balcony. Open fire downstairs.
Would be even better if had a TV in the room.
Great location in town, rustic character of an old hotel.
Shared facilities function but getting a bit too rustic, opt for the private amenities
Hotel had a bistro and pub, was close to cafes and restaurants and historic attractions like the railway station and Bundanoon's first church. Also close to William St where we need to go to get to the Glow Worms Glen. I didn't mind the trains going past (but it could be a problem for some people).
We requested and got a quiet room away from the pub. It was very pleasant, comfortable and warm, and had a nice view from our window. There was also a kitchenette and a lounge on our floor which we made good use of each morning.
The hotel staff was very helpful during booking, checkin and checkout.
The wifi was not working for the room we were in.
Parking in front of the hotel on Erith St was convenient for unloading and loading your bags. However, if you parked in the hotel's parking area around the back, there is an extra flight of stairs to walk up. And you have to drive around the block again to get to the front of the hotel because off the all traffic to turn left sign on Ellsmore Rd.
Cost, restaurant
Lovely, expansive, historic hotel with lots of character!
The room was tasteful, clean and comfortable with good heating on a cold winter night.
The restaurant was jumping with excellent service and food! We even had a quilted piper playing the bagpipes as an added bonus!
We really loved Bundanoon for a one night stopover on our road trip.
A little spooky!
Quaint, genteel, country hotel - felt like stepping back in time.
Staff were fabulous - so accommodating.
Restaurant was charming and food was yummy.
Room was small but perfectly formed - we stayed in a twin en-suite room. Everything was spotless, linen fresh and beds were super comfy.
We arrived mid afternoon and there were no dining options.
Might be nice to just provide something easy for hungry travellers - a toasted sandwich or meat pie would have hit the spot.
Breakfast would also be a nice option - even just a continental breakfast.
