The hosts were lovely people, young lady who showed my room and young man that came to fix the tv cable are very sweet and friendly. I was exhausted and I do struggle with stairs anyway so 2 flights of steep stairs not ideal but as I'd booked in a hurry that's not their fault. The room size fine but it wasn't well maintained I'm sorry to say. It was cleaned but however the carpet needs attention, very stained. Bedding pristine and bathroom clean but cracked basin, towel rail broken. Chair at desk rickety I didn't dare sit on it. Chipped furniture and bed somewhat unsupportive I woke up with back pain. Walls with patches of paint removed and stains. It's OK for one night but don't expect to be wowed and enjoy the room. It has a large tv and kettle plus coffee etc and some toiletries. Free parking which is good. Probably on the money for location near city but needs some TLC.

Dirtiest room I’ve ever been in
Cons:

Honestly where to start, check in was done by what looked like a teenager, no bar or restaurant. Went to the room and instantly hit with a strong smell of smoke (like someone had been chain smoking in it all week. We were only staying for work the next day so we cracked open all the windows and put the fan on. Hoping to air it out. Now we aren’t fussed about where we stay and for £80 weeks wasn’t expecting anything magnificent but the carpet was filthy, had holes in the mismatch furniture and walls, the bath tub was grim (no plug also) went to pick up a towel and it was stained. We spent 15-20 mins in the room and honestly couldn’t bare to stay here. My wife summed it up like it could’ve been a crack den. It was awful. We left the keys and said why we were leaving. We have since tried to receive a refund through here and booking.com but they don’t answer the phone. Would be better off sleeping in your car, if I had the pictures of the room id share but didnt even want to be in there a moment longer

Not the best place to get a good nights sleep at
Pros:

It was a convenient enough location from the city centre and the staff were friendly

Cons:

There was no ramp up to the front door, only stairs and there were no lifts to the rooms. The room was okay, the cleanliness and overall decor of the room wasn’t to a great standard. The floors weren’t very soundproofed so it sounded like the people above were stomping about. You could hear music playing from the time we got back to the room (around 12/1am) until at least 3-4am, which my partner struggled with, the bed was very noisy even to turn over on. Overall it wasn’t the best sleep I’ve had in a hotel

Pros:

Staff on check in didn't appear too friendly, however the evening staff and those proving the food and drinks were very accommodating and friendly, and polite. The Caribbean food provided for Festival was very good, value for money compared to on the site. The outside was a lovely social space which we enjoyed using.

Cons:

The rooms were very basic, no mirror, and in need of TLC. The beds were just about comfortable. Despite the bar looking clean and modern, the rest was "basic". It had a musty smell in the rooms which were very warm, despite using the fan provided.

We requested and had confirmation of early check but on arrival at 1pm our rooms weren't ready.

Its was very was a good the staff couldnt do enough for you it was great to sit comfortable outside
