"A Fantastic Return to the Fairmont Chengdu – Pure Champions League!"

After six years, I had the pleasure of staying at the Fairmont Chengdu again, and it remains an absolutely fantastic hotel—truly in the Champions League of hospitality! The property is modern and tastefully designed, offering a perfect blend of luxury and comfort.
The service was impeccable—professional, warm, and attentive. A special shout-out to Adam, who went above and beyond to assist me. Thank you for your outstanding help and for arranging such a wonderful room—it made my stay even more memorable!
I highly recommend the Fairmont Chengdu to anyone visiting this vibrant city. Five stars without a doubt

it is the staff that have made my recent 6 day stay so memorable. Each mender of the team that I have met was friendly, welcoming and no request was to difficult In particular want to mention the outstanding service offered by the Gold l lounge team Evelyn, June, Mia and Donna They went way and above their duty to ensure that my Vegetarian dietary need where met.

Also want to mention he Front desk team Adam and Jeanne for also providing and exceptional service that always welcoming and friendly

Pros:

Our recent experience at the hotel has been less than satisfactory. Upon check-in, the front desk failed to provide a clear explanation of the room rate or present any necessary documentation for signature. Furthermore, we encountered unsolicited solicitations of a sexually explicit nature in the lobby. Upon entering the room, we discovered a malfunctioning toilet in the living area, and subsequent complaints to the staff resulted in the unavailability of the turn down service.

Pros:

Experience was amazing. Went into this trip with fairly high expectations due to the brand name but came out of it having all expectations exceeded.

Reception staff were extremely efficient and friendly during check in. The room was massive and had a great view onto the boulevard in front of the hotel. The room was very well furnished and had intuitive smart controls which made it very easy to navigate and use during the stay.

The hotel is located very close to the metro station with easy access into the city and the airport.

Phenomenal Hotel Staff
Pros:

The hotel itself was elegant and quiet. The room look new and clean. Room systems are automatic.

The front staff Mr.Joe that check-in for us is remarkably professional. He asked about our plan for the trip, he advise us to purchase the panda ticket and suggest the best time for visiting. He prepared us the limousine with most polite driver Mr.Tony.

We have the best stay of Fairmont here in Chengdu compared to other Fairmont that we’ve been in China (about four of them). Food aren’t much variety but has really good taste.

We definitely have the perfect hotel for our trip.

Mediocre experience
Pros:

Poor check in experience, front staff was cold and no explanation of Accor Platinum benefits given. No welcome amenity was given either.

Rooms were also dated albeit large. On the surface everything looks clean but aircon vents and edges of the ceilings were filled with dust. Amenities were also not consistently replenished, housekeeping missed things out on some days.

Only positive point was the restaurant staff especially Ms Tang who went above and beyond with her service.

Location of the hotel is also not very ideal for tourists, although the Metro station is 2mins walk from the hotel entrance, the journey to the city centre takes about 30-45mins. The location is more ideal for business travellers.

Judging from the hotel manager’s replies to reviews, the hotel does not seem to want to improve either.
