Beautiful property with service
Pros:

Excellent service. The staff was very helpful with returning key from my previous hotel that was 4.5 hr.away. The property is beautiful and couldn’t be in a better location. Breakfast offering is fantastic.
And also we were upgraded to a bigger room with much nicer view.

Cons:

I don’t particularly like the lighting arrangement in the room. It’s a bit tricky to figure out where the switches are, and for which spots. The toilet stall is very dark and it’s quite impossible to go at night without waking the other person. Also it would be much more practical if the toilet is a Japanese type, or at least a install a sink in the stall.

Exceptional stay in Chengdu
Pros:

We stayed in a Temple Suite and absolutely loved it. The room was large, spotless, and very comfortable — with free snacks, soft drinks, and even beer, which was a lovely touch. The bathroom was excellent and the beds incredibly comfortable.

The staff were outstanding, especially Dennis, who went above and beyond to help us book trips and recommend great places to visit. The whole hotel has a fantastic atmosphere, with a stylish bar area, good music, and great food choices.

The location couldn’t be better — it’s within walking distance of so many sights and lively areas. It was the perfect stay in Chengdu and we’d highly recommend Upper House to anyone visiting the city.

Cons:

Honestly, we loved everything about our stay.

Luxury apartment living in city centre
Pros:

Amazing property - location perfect for shopping. Room was also great - stayed in a two-bedroom apartment - had kitchen and washing machine which helped. Staff was super efficient - nothing was to much. Breakfast was special and there is also an Italian restaurant on site which is brilliant.

While we enjoyed the stay and location overall, we didn't feel the value for the price we paid.
Pros:

The location was fabulous and the hotel very modern and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean with a free minibar except for the wines. Strawberries were a nice touch. While we enjoyed the stay overall, we didnt feel it provided the full value for the price we paid.

Cons:

The bathroom layout was a bit odd and not easy to use. The view from the room was overlooking a really bad area of the city. The wifi was very slow and this was annoying.

The hotel’s bathroom design is hazardous when taking a bath. The walls are very dark and narrow, and there are too many sharp edges. In addition, the floor tiles are not properly fixed and feel a bit shaky. My spouse had a bad experience during our stay — she fell inside the bathroom while taking a bath.
