We stayed here mainly for the location when visiting LIHS at Excel but I also love the ethos of this hotel. It's clean, modern and good value for money as well as the view of the dock lands and area
Booked to be close to Excel for a business trip, very convenient location. Clean room, value for money. Would definitely stay again.
Great hotel. Clean with great friendly service. Restaurant burger was fabulous. Loved the concept and would definitely return.
Great concept for a hotel, boat sized rooms , no frills in a good location and great staff. Perfect for business or a flying visit
Good value basic hotel with good travel links into central London. Would recommend but don’t expect luxury, clean and breakfast good .
I arrived for my 2 night stay to find out that the hotel had been bought out by Nike for a takeover event.
As a standard guest I wasnt allowed to enter or use the bar or resturant, and was generally made to feel like a second class guest.
A hasty and crude meeting/staff room was set out with tables for non-Nike takeover guests to sit in and to dine at. The breakfast was overcooked and generally pretty awful.
None of this was broadcast to me when booking or before my stay.
The rooms themsleves are quirky but small, and the hotel's history is interesting but I won't ever stay again. A standard double room does not have a tv, has one plug socket on the floor - you have to move the kettle to the floor to use. The double room is two single beds pushed together.
Welcomed by a lovely guy on front desk who was clearly very proud of the hotel ethos. Sadly everything else was ruined by a Nike event with influencers everywhere... Meant you couldn't access any facilities e.g. bar and breakfast was a room at the back with some table clothes. Disappointed with both the hotel and Nike for how they made other guests feel during the stay.
A great budget option depending on what you can sleep through. The walls are thin, so if your neighbour showers at 7am you’ll know about it. The same for flushing toilets. This is a trendy looking hotel with a great cause attached, but they also provide you with ear plugs. Use them! We were also unfortunate enough to visit during an event at the excel centre, and so the hotel was hosting a Nike Training takeover. It was impossible to avoid, meant the bar was inaccessible, and made day-to-day guests feel most unwelcome. There was also an issue where our heating wouldn’t switch to AC. The staff were very helpful getting it turned back on via WhatsApp. It was unfortunate we had so many annoying little things during such a short stay, but mostly the thin walls are the reason we wouldn’t go back.
Another relaxing stay in a great location, a clean room and with really professional staff. Everyone went out of their way to be friendly and efficient.
Exceptional Service – A Hotel That Truly Cares
I recently stayed at the Good Hotel London, and while there were a couple of small issues in our room, what happened next absolutely set this hotel apart from so many others.
When I mentioned the concerns to the front desk the following morning, Kieran responded with genuine warmth and immediately offered complimentary breakfast. No hesitation, no defensiveness — just real hospitality.
Then we met Ibrahim, the day manager, who went even further: complimentary drinks at the bar, a VIP treat in the room, and a late check-out. All offered with sincerity and a smile. It was far more than we expected, and it turned our stay into something memorable for all the right reasons.
The breakfast itself was delicious — high-quality food, great selection, and a relaxed atmosphere. The staff were super attentive, checking in regularly and making sure everything was spot-on without ever feeling intrusive. It really set the tone for the day.
The hotel’s unique floating design adds something special — waking up right on the water is such a refreshing change from standard city hotels. Plus, the location is excellent: just a short walk to Royal Victoria DLR and the Emirates cable car, with easy links into central London and the O2.
Mistakes can happen anywhere — what matters is how they’re handled. The team here showed true professionalism, kindness, and a thoughtful approach that many hotels could learn from. Instead of excuses, they delivered solutions and generosity.
A special thank you to Kieran, Ibrahim, and Lenkay for going above and beyond. Because of them, we will absolutely return. Their service is too good to miss.
If you’re staying in London’s Docklands, look no further. The Good Hotel lives up to its name — and then some.
Very beautiful hotel, clean and cozy rooms, very cool style and views from the room. Great sleep on the bed, all you need for a nice city trip.
Booked the Good Hotel for a birthday treat with my daughter the location is great (20 min tube ride to central) The hotel staff kindly accommodated my request for a twin room with water view (beautiful first thing in the morning) and the additional birthday treats of ballon, Prosecco, birthday popcorn and a hand written card from the staff was a really appreciated added touch that made the stay feel extra special. The only negative I have was the soundproofing could be improved especially as I’m light sleeper but the earplugs supplied in the room allowed me to have a decent night sleep. I recommend going on the cable cars at night which are right by the hotel for an amazing view of the docks at night. We had a wonderful stay at the Good Hotel and I would definitely stay again when we next visit London.
Great stylish modern hotel competitively priced for London. I was a little concerned about the location initially but found there are excellent travel links to central London via DLR and the Elizabeth Line both within 10 minutes walk of the hotel
Stayed here for the Radiohead concert at the O2. Perfect location. Really pleasantly surprised by the quality of the hotel for how cheap it was. Will definitely stay here again.
I did not book /chose hotel. I went as part of a package to see ABBA Voyage.
I would visit again,
Hotel was different and its fine for a night or two.
It was clean , welcoming, and had a relaxed atmosphere,
Rooms, small, which is not a problem if you are travelling light.
Bathroom is tiny, but again it was clean and functional and this hotel is not designed for a long luxurious stay more of a place to lay yout head for the night.
Room had tea/coffee/kettle.
Small amount of hanging space
Towels clean and soft
Breakfast was surprisingly good with a good choice of hot/cold self service items with pastries and selection of fruit/cereal juice.
staff were friendly and attentive.
The most filthy and disgusting hotel I have seen in a long time. Stained carpets, odor from bad plumbing and abroken lift (I stayed 3 nights and didnt see anyone trying to fix it). Super small bathroom. After I saw how cleaning team uses the same cloth to wipe the toilet and then a desk, I opted-out of the cleaning service. It's beyond me how does this hotel have such high rating. Avoid at all cost.
Great price, great service, clean everything, and the best breakfast in town. Ask for Yup Yup, at least at breakfast, she is one-of-a-kind!
So I booked a 2 night stay for my girlfriend’s 30th birthday (and surprise engagement!) and from setting foot in the hotel we were treated by lovely staff and especially I believe the manager who was incredibly friendly and gave use some Prosecco and other goodies! Of course they didn’t know it was a big weekend for us but really made it extra special and we will definitely be returning.
The location is brilliant and being on the water adds real character and is the best hotel I’ve stayed in in London.
Lovely little find, small but perfectly formed. Clean and modern, with great views over the Thames and cheaper than the Premier Inn or Travelodge on a Saturday night. Amazing location adjacent to the cable car so ideal for the O2 (we left our gig at 10.40pm and were back in our room by 11. Staff super friendly. Really liked that some of their profits got to help kids with their education in poorer parts of the world and the rooms were named after each child with a picture of them inside with some information about their lives. Very sweet.
Just watch out at the bar as I was charged two different prices for a bottle of cider, luckily noticed before paying. Also menu not brilliant for veggies and nothing at all for vegans in the restaurant so breakfast was out for us. Will defo be back though, just make sure we bring sandwiches!
Great location on the dock and within easy walking distance from tube, DLR, elisabeth line etc. Very quiet at night. I was given a free upgrade to a room with dock view. lovely to have that view whilst sitting on the bed doing some work on my laptop! Nice ground floor lounge spaces and bar/restaurant too. Very friendly staff. Good for all sorts of travellers: solo, couples, business and groups.
