Obviously a hotel trying to get away with not reinvesting in the quality or comfort of its patrons. I’ve stayed in cheap
Pros:

Location was convenient, centered in Auburn and about 1/2 hour any direction to bigger cities (Syracuse, Cortland) and activities (wedding venues)

Cons:

The room felt old & grungy as soon as we walked in, probably because the couch looked worn and a little disgusting that the armrests were shiny and getting black from wear😜. My adult son slept on the pullout bed and said he could feel every bar of the frame through the mattress, so not a good night’s rest. We peeled back the sheets and mattress pads to check for bed bugs (there weren’t any) and the threadbare mattress had written in marker on it, “April May June 2008” on it! Disgusting that a hotel would still be using such an old mattress! Even the mattress pad was worn and old. As for the daily cleanliness, the rooms seemed clean and in good order. The room had a coffee maker & frig, but no ice bucket, so we assume no ice machine anywhere? Doors of the elevator had trouble closing the night before, and the stairwell had a closed sign on it the next morning…is that even legal? I had called the hotel the afternoon we were to arrive to tell them we would be arriving later, and after the automated answering service had us on hold for over 6 minutes with no one answering, I hung up.

Virtual check in at hotel didn't know how to check us in.So almost an hour or more of trying, too which I had to call booking .com and someone from Booking .com talked to her and still could figure what needed to be done .and my credit card company . I ended just cancelling the stay which was booked in march2026 Booking .Com tried to help her but to know end and they gave me back my money as well .gentlemen I talked with was very helpful
And our vacation was 08/13-15 2026 so we had to find another hotel . Which was so much better Holiday Inn in Auburn NY!!!!

Pros:

We found the room cleaner than most of the bigger hotel chains. It was quiet and comfortable. We were there to visit family so the hotel was just to sleep and shower. The hotel over all was nice for the price.

Cons:

The grounds needs updated but that had no impact on our stay.

I would not stay here again.
Pros:

The virtual check-in was not expected and was impersonal. The was no breakfast as listed in website. Handicap parking was not enforced making us park up the hill. Rooms were reasonable.

Still waiting in security deposit return !!!!!!!!!!!!
Pros:

We stayed at the Inn at the Finger Lakes and checked out on August 2. We were charged $132 for our stay plus the $100 security deposit. In my CC statement it only showed a charge of $232 ....no separate charge, the combined it. We waited well beyond the stated timeframe for the deposit to be returned, but it never appeared on our credit card.
I finally called the hotel and was told they refunded the $100 the day after we checked out. When I asked for a reference or transaction number for the refund, they could not provide one and told me to contact Capital One because the bank might be holding it.
I contacted Capital One, and they confirmed there is no pending or processed $100 refund from the hotel. Capital One has now opened a dispute for the charge.
This has been extremely frustrating, especially after being told the refund was processed when my credit-card company has no record of receiving it. I would strongly recommend that anyone staying here keep a close eye on their $100 deposit after checkout.
I will update this review if and when the deposit is finally returned.
