Pros:

We loved our room and the hotel! Could use some updates but the room was spacious, super clean and the bed was amazing!

Cons:

The price was ridiculous!! Way overpriced because of graduation weekend and that’s why we were there! It is unacceptable how much we were charged! HG is not a 5 star hotel and to be taken advantage of was wrong!

Good place to stay while in Ithaca with a very good staff.
Pros:

Breakfast was a highlight with a reasonable selection of hot and cold items. However, the oatmeal was always mostly gone when we came down and the coffee, even though supposedly ground and brewed in the machine on site was always a bit flat. The rooms near the highway are slightly noisy, but it gets quieter during the night. Parking is easy and free. The staff were wonderful, friendly and helpful. They let us use the breakfast room after the 11AM closing time for a couple of our singing rehearsals and wine and cheese gatherings of the singing group, which was fabulous. We were careful to get everything cleaned up and straightened up afterwards. Bathroom products were nice. The cleaning staff did a very good job keeping things tidy and clean.

Cons:

The beds in every room are very uncomfortably high. It was hard for some of our older folks to even get into them, and they were essentially impossible to sit on. The shower door lets water through, which made a mess on the floor. The small exercise room is pretty good but in the last 2 years, the rowing machine has never been fixed so it's completely useless. I mean, this is the home of Cornell University and rowers will come back and stay here.

Happy with our choice overall.
Pros:

It's a very clean facility and the breakfast was great. I like that you can get coffee anything day or night. The bed was comfortable. I also appreciated that they had flowers all around with the colors for Ithaca college graduation that weekend. We were there for my son's graduation so it was a very nice added vibe.

Cons:

I wish this place had a restaurant and bar, but that being said it's a great place for one that doesn't. I also think the parking lot could be redone to be wider it was a tight fit at times with so many cars

Would never stay here again.
Pros:

Nothing - would never stay here again. Scary, felt unsafe, dirty, poorly maintained, door damaged, too many issues to list…

Cons:

I did not like anything about this hotel. Definite price gouging, not worth $100 per night, I felt unsafe, the room was dirty and if it wasn’t for my son visiting Cornell I would have not stayed. By far my worst hotel experience in many years.

Pros:

The room was very dated with stained furniture and stained -moldy shower. Icky. We decided to leave the hotel and stay somewhere else even though we PREPAID 5 nights - the hotel would not refund us -and it was not cheap - but we’d rather stay at a clean hotel than a health hazard. The hotel general manager would not even return my calls - and corporate told us they had no authority at the property level . We will never stay at an IHG property again.
