Awful Experience – Hidden Renovations, Rude Manager & Terrible Service

My recent stay at Geno Hotel was incredibly disappointing and frustrating. First of all, the hotel is currently under renovation — but there is no mention of this anywhere on their website or booking platforms. The noise, dust, and limited access to facilities made it feel more like a construction site than a hotel.

What made it worse was the attitude of the front desk manager, Relina. I arrived just 45 minutes before the check-in time and was told that although rooms were available, I’d have to pay RM100 just to check in a bit early. No courtesy, no flexibility — just cold and unhelpful.

To top it off, she even had the guts to say that if I had booked just 30 minutes before arriving, I’d have to wait two hours for them to “receive” the booking — even though rooms were clearly ready. That’s ridiculous and makes no sense for a hotel claiming to offer professional service.

This whole experience completely spoiled my mood. I came expecting a comfortable stay and ended up dealing with noise, miscommunication, and rude treatment.

I strongly recommend avoiding this hotel until the renovation is complete and the staff is properly trained in basic

1) room is dusty
2) there is no hand towel give

It was just for a night . the restaurant at level 1 made us wait for more than 40 minutes for the food as they forgot our order. Reason given : staff was trainee as she did not key in the system for our order.

The room was average.

It was the service that it is not good.

There is nothing around the property building. No restaurant outside. Only 1 indian restaurant, KK mart.

Was ok not great location and no help for tourists

The room is clean, cozy, spacious with comfortable pillow and bed. The receptionist, Diva is so attending and providing a good service to me. I am coming for company event and i get the room upgraded to CEO Suite which me and my roommate can restwell after our event. Highly recommended.

Everything is perfect and I really enjoyed my stay especially the gym.. Bedroom was assorted according to our needs and the hotel has amazing foods.. The two receptionists, Zefanya and Julia were really friendly and helpful. Highly recommend it

Very good hospitality by the crew Zefanya and Julya.Thr are very polite and presentable.Hopefully ths profesion will.ne the best for thems.I also hope that during thr intern will make them more murture and meaningfull exsperiences.Thr always served the best for thr customer.I do hope that the company will give thems more reward and allowances in order for them to survived in Malaysia.

*Nice pool suitable kids and clean toilet to change cloth

I had an outstanding experience at this hotel! The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, the rooms were immaculate and beautifully decorated, and the amenities exceeded my expectations. I stayed at this hotel for 5 days. This is business hotel. The ID of this hotel is ok. The room is ok. But, I think the hotel need room for improvement in the future:
1. The parking fee for guest is RM8. From parking to the main lobby, there is no ramp for luggage. Not friendly to the guest with trolley luggage.
2. As business hotel, there must be a Concierge staff at main entrance. The Nepal Security is on duty at main entrance.
3. Breakfast buffet so simple.
4. Housekeeping only clean up your room after 3 pm. If you come back earlier and the room is not ready yet, you need to request to do is so.

Geno Hotel Subang is very comfortable and enjoy to stay in..
Got breakfast for every morning and the food is good..
The staff also very helpful and fast response in case of any request for guest regarding to room..
Surely will choose this hotel again in future and recommend to other friends.
Not to forget,Front Desk staff is also very helpful and welcoming Especially staff name Yosi.. Kind yet beautiful.

First i come the reception staff she very friendly. She explain me the atraction near geno hotel. She have knowledge a lot, actually this sttaff non malaysia yosi from indo amazing!

Best hotel with warm and friendly staff, room is clean, food choices and lots of varieties.
Geno Hotel is convenient as easy access as geographical border to subang and shah alam. Strongly recommended as the place near to Icity place. Definitely will be back again.

The room clean and amenities available. The friendly and supportive staff front desk name Surin helpful with our stay. The hotel will be helpful if the parking fee to waive for stay in guest. I will definitely come back again for next visit!!
