High 5 Hotel Alkmaar

Sehr nette Gastgeber.
Kirchenglocken alle 15 min. sind sehr gewöhnungsbedürftig aber es lagen extra neue Ohrstöpsel bereit

Picture are misleading, doesn't look like the place. Also had real bad info posted as proximity to AFAS live which was where I was working. They stated 3 miles from the hotel, it was actually 45 min drive. I booked this hotel based on location which was false. I had to change hotels to be closer to work and Hotel 5 absolutely refused reimburse me my next night stay even though their information was wrong and misleading.

Matratzen für unseren Geschmack viel zu weich und durchgelegen.
Das Glockenspiel der Kirche läutet dor Nacht durch - wird aber in ganz Alkmaar nicht anders sein.
Personal sehr nett aber selten zugegen. Wir wussten nicht wie wir auschecken sollten.

Leider kann ich nichts positives berichten. Die Zimmer waren zusammengeschustert, ganz kleiner Kühlschrank der kaum kühlte, abgebrochener Toilettendeckel und Zimmerservice gab es nicht. Irgendwelche Müll und Wäschesäcke standen im Flur rum. Die kleine Dachterrasse war in einem vernachlässigtem ungepflegten Zustand. Das Gebimmel der Kircheglocke nervte jede Viertelstunde. Das Frühstück war völlig überteuert für das was man serviert bekam. Fazit: Wenn man nichts anderes bekommt, mag es für ein zwei Tage gehen, aber Ansprüche sollte man nicht stellen.

Goed: de jonge bezetting als personeel. Minder: geen bericht ontvangen m.b.t. inchecken; telefonisch niet bereikbaar en antennekabel op televisie werkte niet. Tip: reeds advies op site geven m.b.t. parkeren.

Hele fijne service, en een hele mooie kamer, leuke uitzicht erbij

Hotel ligt vlak achter de kerk, wanneer je een lichte slaper ben hoor je de klok wel een aantal keer slaan in de nacht. Kamers prima voor het geld, entre mag nog wel opgeknapt worden. Ontbijt was ook prima.

Flinke tegenvaller dat de loungebar nog niet geopend was en dat het hotel in de avond niet bemand was.

Room was above a bar but I don't know whether it is normally noisy, as it was closed for two weeks. Staff not always available. One person met us in the evening (I believe she works noon to 8:00 pm), another set up the breakfast smorgasbord and was available while we ate, another came in and did the cleaning.

The nearby church played carillon music every fifteen minutes, day and night. Very pleasant, and not overly loud.

Lots of nearby shops, museums, restaurants, pretty areas to walk through. Right across from grocery store so we could save on cost of eating out.

We arrived in early October so there were many festivities for annual celebration of 1500's victory over the Spaniards.

Lots of quiet narrow winding streets. One was quite wide but I believe cyclists were supposed to walk rather than ride on that one. No traffic in that area of town, except the occasional delivery van early in the morning.

Distance to the train station was ten to twenty minutes, depending on your walking speed. City bus came often (every fifteen minutes?) to edge of town, right beside the large church.

A place to sleep and not a lot more to notice. Good location. They were rebuilding as far as I know and that made it maybe a little bit desolated.

kleines Hotel, schön in der City gelegen, auch das Glockenspiel der Grote Kerk ist nicht stöhrend.

Wer es gerne zentrumnah hat, ist in diesem Hotel gold richtig! Die Anreise mit dem Auto ist auch kein Problem, da unter dem nahe gelegenen Einkaufsmarkt eine große Tiefgarage ist. Das Hotel selber ist sauber, das Personal sehr nett, die Zimmer großzügig mit Kühlschrank ausgestattet (Superior Zimmer) und das Frühstück ausreichend.

When we arrived there were no personnel in the hotel. For breakfast we made an agreement to receive full breakfast boxes, first one was incomplete, and the rest of the days we didn't received them. The operative personnel was different every day and they didn't know about our complete daily breakfast boxes. When we spoke about this with the manager he told us that we will receive a refund for this (US$40), up today no refund has happened, and we have provide them all the information that they have requested for this.
Apart, some days the daily cleaning of the room was not done. It´s very dangerous to move the luggage and there is no hotel personnel that helps for this.

het personeel is vriendelijk, voor een kort verblijf als je in het centrum moet zijn is dit hotel erg geschikt

Das High 5 Hotel ist ein nettes Hotel mit ansprechenden Zimmern, gutem Frühstück und freundlichen Service. Das Hotel liegt mitten in der Innenstadt von Alkmaar in einem verkehrsberuhigten Bereich. Problem ist die Kirche in direkter Nachbarschaft mit Glockenspiel. Wir als Landmenschen haben die ganze Nacht kein Auge zugemacht. Trotz Ohrstopfen war es jede halbe Stunde zu hören. Sehr schade für dieses ansonsten wirklich sehr nette Hotel in super Lage.

Leuk hotel in de binnenstad van Alkmaar. Leuke inrichting!

Das Zimmer ist sauber, der Kühlschrank spitze.
Die Treppen zu den Zummern sind sehr steil, waren aber für uns kein Problem
