The receptionist was very kind and tried her best to be helpful in a difficult situation in front of the management.

Cons:

I booked a 4-night stay under a non-refundable rate, assuming a basic standard of safety and cleanliness. However, a “non-refundable” policy does not entitle a hotel to provide rooms that pose a health risk. When a property fails to meet minimum habitable conditions, the agreement is fundamentally breached and cannot reasonably be enforced.

Upon entering the room, I was immediately hit with a strong sewage odor, accompanied by visible mold across the ceiling and in the corners. It was evident that wallpaper had been used to cover underlying dampness and structural deterioration. The smell inside the room was far worse than in the hallway, clearly indicating a localized ventilation and moisture issue. The property itself appears very old and poorly maintained, with worn-out furniture that adds to the overall neglected and unsanitary atmosphere.

While the receptionist made an effort to assist, the manager refused to engage directly. She called him on speakerphone in front of me, and I clearly heard the entire exchange. When asked if he would speak with me, he explicitly replied, “No, I would rather not speak with him,” demonstrating clear avoidance of responsibility.

An alternative “Deluxe” room was offered, but it suffered from the same mold and odor issues. The staff openly acknowledged that the room had technical faults and informed me that no technician would be available until the next day. I have a recording of this conversation, confirming that the room was not ready or suitable for occupancy at the time it was offered.

Additionally, the manager falsely reported my arrival time to the booking platform in an apparent attempt to misrepresent the situation and justify denying a refund. Despite this, the hotel admitted to reselling the room shortly after.

This experience highlights the importance of caution when booking unfamiliar properties. Do not compromise your health for a non-refundable rate.
Never book more than one night at an unfamiliar place. Avoid!

​Ich hatte einen wirklich schönen Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel. Besonders beeindruckt hat mich das Personal: Alle waren überaus freundlich und fachlich sehr kompetent. Man hat sich sofort willkommen gefühlt und bei Fragen wurde mir direkt und unkompliziert geholfen. Ein großes Dankeschön an das gesamte Team für den tollen Service! Ich komme sehr gerne wieder.

Cons:
