Jan's Hotel

This was the perfect spot for a quick getaway. Nothing fancy but super cute and clean. The staff was helpful and provided restaurant recommendations.

Very hospitable, last-minute arrangements for a ride and a cab to the hotel. I was upset that I did not get the patio, but it was amazing having an entire rooftop in the middle of the city.😎 was not a fan of a no flush toilet paper rule. Other than the Sagasium smell, you cannot beat this location. I would definitely stay here again after the renovations and more in the dry season.

Great location to a lot of the main attractions. All walkable. Very friendly staff attending to problems immediately. Our microwave was not working and within 5 min of reporting the issue we received a replacement. Also the rooftop area is a nice hangout place sunrise and relaxation.

Very comfortable and clean room. Close to The Split and main area with restaurants, shopping, groceries, bike rentals, tour rentals. Easy check in and check out.

Jan's is super nice and comfy spot! It's in perfect location, right across from the beach and nearby tons of bars/restaurants and tours. Staff is very helpful and can pick you up from the ferry when you get there. Also cool lil spot at top of building where you can get a 360 view of island.

After emailing them about a flight delay, I was told I would still be picked up at the airport. Upon arrival at Belize City, Tropic Air attempted to call them numerous times to advise them of my arrival time in Caye Caulker, but received no answer. At the CC terminal, they were finally able to reach someone who told them that there was no one available to pick me up. I took a taxi and when I checked in, I was handed a key, and told I was on the 2nd floor. I had to tell the young man that I could not lug a 50 lb suitcase up the stairs. He seemed put out that he had to provide that service. The room was smaller than expected, although very clean. The first thing I noticed is that the only lock is on the flimsy door knob. No deadbolt, no chain, no peephole. At least there was security at night, until I caught him sleeping on 3 occasions. There is no safe in the room (which I did ask about prior to booking, so I brought my own). I watched another guest buy a substance from a local downstairs, while security was present. There was a late, loud party that I thought was coming from a group of ladies, but after consulting with another unhappy guest, it was right next door to them where the young man who works there is staying. They banged on the adjoining door to try to get some sleep. The cleaning ladies are wonderful and friendly and did a great job. The a/c works well, so there are 2 positive points. Oh, and 3 if you count the fact that the toilet paper isn't the cheap stuff, lol.

A clean and convenient hotel. It's in walking distance to almost everything.

Staff respected privacy but were always available to assist with anything we needed. Staff also made sure we had transportation arranged to/from water taxis and to/from airport. Always replied to emails quickly.

Bed pillows need upgrading.

We went to Lobsterfest at Caye Caulker and we stayed in Suite 1, it was excellent. The staff was great and the location was perfect for the event. I will stay again in 2026 when I go back.

We had a great stay at Jan’s. The hotel is about a 5 minute walk from the Split. The rooms are nice and there is a small roof top terrace for guest use. It is a short walk away from wherever you want to go on the island. There is a small private beach area we did not use because of the sargrassum which is prevalent tho the Caribbean.

We had a couple of great meals: The first at Pasta per Caso and the second at Barefoot Caribbean.

The hotel was great. The staff was great and friendly. I would definitely go back and recommend. Near everything.

Wonderful location and a great value. Our partial ocean view room did have a lot of electrical wire view but we were so excited to see BOTH sides of ocean view from the balcony that was unique and cool. The staff was amazing and gave lots of great advice. The cleaning staff seemed busy and always keeping the main halls swept and tidy. Great job!

Staff goes above and beyond! They take care of everything, just fly to Belize City and they got you. Area is walkable to everything. I can’t wait to go back!

The property was cool for the price. Definitely connected to all the activities.

The hotel was perfect! It was spacious, had everything we needed (Wi-Fi, working AC, a small kitchen, sitting space, and a little patio), and we had a great view of the beach! The beach was right in front of the hotel, and everything was within walking distance. The staff were friendly and helpful. The housekeepers cleaned up all the sand we tracked into our room daily, thank you! We would stay at Jan's Hotel again!
