great hotel with nice small pool and authentic atmosphere
sometimes limited hot water
I don’t remember my room category, but it was a king bed and was plenty spacious in terms of the bed space. The bed itself was comfortable, but when I sat down I found an extra piece of chocolate under a pillow and one of the decorative pillows had a wrapper stuck to it. One downside is the rooms all face the courtyard so if you want fresh air you have to put up with everyone looking into your room. There is a fridge that was cold and the TV had English channels (you just have to scroll a lot). I was solo and given 2 bottles of water each day.
The bathroom was too small. Hard to sit on toilet because the toilet paper holder sticks out. The shower was a good size with lots of space for toiletries but the water spits out in every direction and the doors don’t fully close. There was hot water though. The breakfast was a bit of a letdown with just have buffet eggs and not made to order. Given it is a restaurant, this seems like an easy fix. The hotel restaurant was good, but pricy. Overall, I’d look for something else next time, but I booked last minute.
The staff were friendly. WiFi was fast enough to work, stream, and FaceTime.
The breakfast is exceptional. The restaurant is very good. The rooms and the entire interior of the hotel sport that "Mexican" scheme of warm, friendly colors. The staff is exceptionally friendly and accommodating.
My room didn't have a window and only indirectly allowed daylight to filter through screened skylights. I found that a bit claustrophobic.
I booked this pretty last minute and it was one of the only higher rated hotels left. The staff were friendly and helpful and the attached restaurant (Tika) was good. The WiFi was fast. Hot water was good. The bed was comfortable. There was a fridge and TV had English channels.
The shower head sprayed water everywhere and the doors didn’t completely close. The rooms overlook a courtyard so if you want fresh air everyone can see into your room. I don’t know about cleaning as I found an extra chocolate on my bed under a pillow and the wrapper for another one stuck to the back of a decorative pillow. The floor was a bit gritty.
