excellent
The ocean view at the resturant is amazing and the staff are welcoming and friendly. The room was spacious and clean, we enjoyed everything about our stay and would happily come again.
Older rooms but everything needed was provided including extra bedding, heating and fan and very clean and comfortable.
Fridge made noises but turning it off was all it needed.
The walls could be sound proofed. The man next door snored all night!
Breakfast was very good.
Wine had a big mark up price. Take your own!
Receptionist was friendly and helpful.
The location was centrally located on Brier Island. The check-in staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was as advertised. We had dinner on the property. My husband's meal was not the proper temperature. The server walked to the kitchen and then returned the plate to the table. The food had not been heated. When the plate was returned the 2nd time, it was extremely hot. The breakfast server and meal were great.
Rooms were huge and very clean.
very friendly staff and good restaurant. No ac in room but windows and fan there made it comfortable
Stayed here so we could do whale watching cruise and the people were very helpful and friendly. The restaurant was convenient and very good. The only drawback was no a/c in room but we used the fan provided with open windows and was just fine.
Not many amenities. Nice view and location. People not mean but not overly friendly either.
A very basic motel-like experience. Rooms with only a coffee machine. Cardboard-like walls with noise fully audible from adjoining rooms. Noisy bathroom fan in a 1950’s bathroom.
The property location is wonderful: on a hill in the small remote Village of Westport on Briar Island. The facilities are basic, clean and comfortable. The food is very good and staff is very helpful and friendly. The location is incredible, with scenic beauty!
I would not let my dog stay in first room they have use, and he is dead.
Had to pay extra $159 to get a ok room.
Great meals,
Lovely place. Rustic but clean and up to date. Helpful staff. Wish we could have stayed longer!
Fantastic view
The property has a very scenic view and a good restaurant. Our room on the other hand was disappointing, considering it was one of the most expensive places we stayed at in Nova Scotia. No clock radio or TV or even a box of Kleenex. Very basic. It would have been nice to have a few chairs to sit on outside our unit. Another thing that bothered us is when we paid for the room there was a tip option on the card reader. Never had that before! A $50 tip on a room that was below par. Come on!
The view from the diningroom was spectacular.
The view from the lodge is spectacular!! The restaurant’s menu has no bad choices!! It is a great spot to unplug and unwind.
Amazing dinner, great location, we shall be back.
The location and views are outstanding! The rooms have a separate seating area and an outdoor patio facing the bay. The restaurant was fabulous and they are well informed about celiac disease and food allergies.
This was my second stay here, 16 years apart. The lodge is up above the town, easy to get to from the ferry if you're driving (or in my case bicycling). Room was basic, but clean and it was very nice to be able to open the second door leading directly outside for catching the breeze. Onsite restaurant was tasty and even without reservations, the hostess was able to seat me. Hoping it won't be another 16 years before my next visit.
