Worst experience ever
Pros:

Awful, horrible staff, horrible location.
We’ve been in contact with the property regarding our stay, who agreed to give me half my money back (better than nothing) however, I’ve been chasing this payment for the past 2 weeks, and now they have changed their minds and are refusing to give me a refund (I have it all in writing that they will refund me and have asked for my bank details). The property was horrendous, we had dirty walls covered in squashed mosquitos, the bathroom was also covered with mosquitos, the door to the bungalow didn’t lock properly so didn’t feel safe at night or to leave any belongings if we went out in the day. They say that the boat to the centre was 700baht, but it actually was 1500baht per person one way in the evenings so we were never able to leave the resort. There were a handful of restaurants which charged double the price (as they know we can’t get to the centre without having to get out a loan). I would not recommend this property. I wouldn’t let my worst enemy stay in this resort. The staff are so rude.

Pros:

Friendly and service oriented
Pros:

We were there for three nights. The place is located on the remote side of the island, so be prepared for unexpected transportation expenses. The cabins/rooms are clean and have all the basic things you need. The front of the cabins is very tidy and clean, though the backyard is very messy and rubbish. Special thanks for the personnel. The gentleman at the reception was very polite, service oriented and friendly. Whenever you ask him he was ready for help. There is no ATM on that part of the island, so bring some cash with you or be prepared to be charged up to 10% if you would use a bank card. A good place to eat: Pirates Bar, Jasmine BBQ. Warning: stay away from API Resort Restaurant. they have sky-high prices combined with awful service and average food.

Amazing!
Pros:

You get more than your money’s worth. Newly renovating, rooms sizes are enough with everything you need in them. The whole place is clean and well maintained with great staff! Would absolutely return here on our next Thailand adventure. Cute little town right behind with cheap massages, shops, the coolest restaurants which is the real thailand experience!

Amazing value resort in a fun remote village!
Pros:

Great place to stay for a few days. It is ran by a very nice family that made the check in process extremely easy with bags and setting up the long tail boat/ferry ride. If you are expecting luxury, I would not call it that. However, it does serve it purpose to be on a beautiful expensive island for cheap in a small village, next to 3 stores, 5-10 fun bars, 3-5 massage places, and right next to the phi phi village island resort (which is expensive and luxury). We had lots of fun, the rooms were big, the bathroom served its purpose, and access to the beach is a small walk or long tail boat ride away. I would definitely say stay here if you are looking for the best value in a remote area of the island. I give it 4.8 out of 5.

Little Star Bungalow
Pros:

I found this resort via AirBNB, and that was part of any issue I had with my reservation and experience. That said, the resort is value for the money if renting via direct or a travel bureau.
The bungalow was as expected, all pictures were accurate and as listed. The bungalow I had was a larger end unit. It was clean and well maintained. I had no issues with electricity, a/c or bugs (which are things I expected being on an island this isolated). It was perfect, as was the local staff that maintained the unit.
It is a small resort, but well manicured, quiet and safe. There are numerous cats about the resort, as there are all about the island. They were all well behaved except during breakfast where they beg for food, as feral animals do. No surprises here.
The staff's grasp of English is limited, but the local bartenders and store owners all speak English if you need translations or assistance.
This location is walking distance of everything on the island. Five minutes to the beach. Five minutes to the neighboring resorts (western restaurants). Two minutes to local bars and restaurants, spas and local shopping. Everything you need is in the small village behind the resort and the locals are extremely friendly. It was a wonderful visit.
It is also a half hour walk to the neighboring bays and beaches(during low tide), and solo adventures through the jungle...watch out for the extremely large "lizards" which are more like Kimodo Dragons. I do not exaggerate. I thought some of these creatures were actually crocodiles.
Also, take your Deet, you will need it.
Transportation to and from the island can be an issue. Make sure you meet the long boat at the ferry when you arrive or be prepared to take a water taxi which can cost up to 200 baht.
Expect to walk everywhere around the island, there are no taxis, only water taxis from beach to beach, or bay to bay, and it isn't cheap ;) That said, You can walk from one side of the resorts to the town in about 15-20 minutes at low tide.
Also, no atm's on this side of the island. Get funds when you dock at the ferry drop before taking long boat/ water taxi to resort. There are some business owners who accept credit cards, but it is not the norm. Be advised.
Again, any issue I had was with AirBNB host not being available to answer questions, lead me to expedient resolutions. I did accept apology from Host for miscommunications and issues experienced.

Wunderschönes Resort auf einer Trauminsel
Pros:

Pros:

Schöne Unterkunft
Pros:

Motel not Hotel...
Pros:

If you're looking to save some money probably it will do the job but you have to know-
There are not hot water!
Breakfast- is disaster.
Stuff- they don't know what is service.
Pool- don't count on it...
Rooms- are ok, hunestly you don't need more than that but the sheets were a bit dirty.
Lastly FYI - there is a mosque inside the hotel and the mosque have speaks and they use it at 6am... and few more times during the day.

I'm happy that I closed only one night only. We saved few $ but that is not why I came to Thailand.

Quiet
Pros:

Highly recommend if you like a quiet life

Phi phi

Our bungalow was lovely and spacious, very clean, air con brilliant. Pool was good we stayed in there and they turn the little disco lights for us ha ha. You have to get a boat to the other side of the island if you want it to be busy. Our place was quite and beautiful, little walk to the beach but staff very helpful and friendly. Boat trip we took was lovely choppy water but monkey beach was amazing.

It is expensive to get to the other side of the island and the times for free shuttle aren't that great, yes you do have to walk in the water if the tide is out but It didn't bother me.

The absolute most misleading accommodation I have ever gotten duped on
Pros:

First off this place was impossible to find and when I Google mapped the address, it kept showing a place called the Hip Resort. Apparently the address is used for three different resorts (The Hip Resort and Phi Phi Ban Kao) that seem to be advertised as each other and share the same pool and all. Also confusing was accessing the "free shuttle" situation to the location which was rated a great location seeming to be some what close to Ton Sai Pier. Wrong!!! No one had even heard of this place at the Tourist Center on the island. I finally had a nice local call for me to find out how to get there. She was informed that I would need to catch a long boat from the pier. Granted I only had access to Wi-Fi and no cellular access I figured the place was easily reachable from the way it was advertised.

When I finally found the boat guy holding a sign at the pier, myself and a few other were not informed of any details regarding where we were going and how long it would take. We all looked at each other a bit confused as the journey took more than 30 mins. to get to the location. We even passed a bunched of water gypsies' houses on stilts !

When we finally arrived we had to get to jump out of the boat and walk thru a two feet of water before than walking over a large area of beach that is usually covered by water when it is not low tide. This meant we had to walk over large coral beds that were slippery and sharp in order to get to shore. Upon reaching shore, we all were unpleasantly surprised again as to where this resort actually was located. We were guided to a small dirt road on the side of the resort off the beach and had to walk a bit into this tiny dirty town located behind this main beach resort, the Phi Phi Island Resort. I later found out that the only beach in this area was private and was for use only to the guests staying at the Phi Phi Island Resort!!!

Once arriving at the ghetto Little Star Resort, I was greeted by a rude character named Big Daddy whom did his best to be as unhelpful and intimidating as possible. He then informed me that there were only two free boats per day back to civilization known or Ton Sai Bay and no ATMs where located in the area. Apparently we were the last boat back to this remote place. This boat times were awkward and completely inconvenient to do day tours and the cost to get back to the resort started at around 800 Baht one way!!!
Now for the worst part! I freaked as soon as I checked out my room. Even as a seasoned solo female traveler from sketchy New Orleans, I felt extremely unsafe in this falsely advertised barn. The door was so thin and the lock was a joke, a toddler could kick the door in. The room definitely did not look like the pictures and the bathroom was filthy. The A/C would not kick on properly, the toliet would not flush and the sink stopper was stuck causing water to fill the sink. When I went outside to check out my bungalow surroundings, I was stunned to see not a nice tropical view but a trash dump behind this barn!
At this point having felt uneasy, unsafe, trapped and tricked, I walked straight out of this place with my backpack and headed to the main resort being my only other choice. The Phi Phi Island resort was amazing but uber expensive and was not what I had planned to spend for my two night stay on Phi Phi Don. But there was no way I was staying at the falsely advertised dump of a place called the Phi Phi Little Star
