Nice property with good vibes but many improvements needed

Uma estadia razoável, com oportunidades de melhorias
Pros:

O hotel faz jus ao estilo “rústico chic” de TULUM. Extremely charmoso… porém o conforto é impactado pela falta de estrutura do local e talvez pela “decadência” que Tulum está passando.

Cons:

Problemas de esgoto, inundação no banho, que provocava um cheiro ruim e um banho não confortável, após um longo dia de praia.
Considerando que o autuo tem cozinha, esperávamos poder usar um prato e um talher pelo menos, já que não tinha café da manhã… Joe bra to ao pedirmos “emprestado” nos negaram… (mesmo tendo um restaurante e um café na estrutura do hotel), vale a pena lembrar que ambos não abriam para o horário do café! Ou seja, tivemos que comprar pratos e talheres descartáveis para comermos de manhã.

Amazing I was in a tropical paradise
Pros:

Free breakfast was a nice touch it definitely came in clutch when needed. Wish there was a gym on the actual property but it’s not the end of the world bc of that.

Cons:

Only down side is the showers idk.. kinda salty waters if you ask me

L’emplacement

Cons:

Les logements sont TRÈS sombre même en pleine journée. La lumière du jour ne rentre quasi pas et les lampes à l’intérieur sont insuffisantes. Tout est délabrés, la douche est rouillée, le frigo sale, la gaziniere n’est d’aucun intérêt puisqu’il n’y a aucun ustensiles de cuisine même pas une fourchette, nous n’avons rien reçu même pas une bouteille d’eau, il y a une machine à café dans la cuisine mais pas de capsules. J’en avais demandé ainsi qu’une bouteille d’eau mais nous ne l’avons jamais reçu. Les transats et autres fauteuils sur la plage ne sont pas entretenus. Sans parler des moustiques ( nous avons été piqués au moins une cinquantaine de fois) et autres insectes en abondance dans le logement. Nous avons même eu un scorpion. Pas de salon ou fauteuil. La piscine privée est sale et pas entretenue

Best Hotel on the beach! Great price, amazing food, beautiful views.
Pros:

Amazing location, friendly staff, very nice and clean rooms. The restaurant on the property was delicious, the beach beds were comfortable. They include free parking with security. This place was great!

Pros:

Positives: the grounds were well maintained, staff was mostly friendly, the staff in the neighboring restaurant, the Akna, were great. We had a nice 2 bedroom cabana but there was only A/C units in the bedrooms so we couldn’t use the main areas too much. Good location.

Cons:

Negatives: the sargassum was awful and also smelled awful. We couldn’t use the beach at all - the reason we booked it was to be able to walk to the beach whenever we wanted but it was not possible with all the seaweed.
One night we found a scorpion in our room - not sure if they fumigate for those types of pests but it was scary.
Main reason I give this hotel a 2 star review and why we will never go again is because my husband (foolishly, yes he has fault in this) left his shorts on the bed with his wallet in them while we went to the pool. While we were at the pool, the cleaning staff went in to clean the cabana. When we came back, we couldn’t find the wallet and after looking for some time, we found it buried under some clothes in one of our suitcases. We thought it was strange but brushed it off. Then, days later there were fraudulent charges on 2 of our credit cards. One of those credit cards we took for emergency purposes only and never used it once in tulum. It wasn’t used to book the room, to book transportation - nothing. It was only taken for emergencies like I said. So we put two and two together and reported it to the hotel. They said they would look into it and then came back two days later denying any wrongdoing from their staff.
They took no responsibility and reprimanded no one.
I also want to add that one evening when we were walking to dinner, we saw an empty camera bag, a wallet, sunglasses and a scarf thrown to the side on one of the walking paths. We thought it strange so we reported that as well. It’s very clear those items were stolen to look through then thrown once they had taken what they wanted to take.

The staff was pretty much non existent and when we did need help with getting water to drink or something basic, they couldn’t help… Our toilet broke down multiple times, the beach was unusable and had a horrible experience.

Pretty exterior, but bad seaweed smell and lots of bugs
Pros:

Gorgeous surroundings, loved the private garden pool. Also you can hire bikes to cycle around.

Cons:

- Firepits weren’t lit during our stay
- Rooftop bar was closed for maintenance (despite looking open on their Instagram)
- Running water was cut off for an afternoon
- Seaweed smells reaaaaally bad! No attempts to clean the beach, and you can smell it in your room. Beach was out of use.
- There’s mesh windows in the bathroom so seaweed smell comes through strongly.
- A/C could’ve been colder
- Very pushy at breakfast to get you to pay for additional items when we already paid to have free breakfast included
- No nets by the small garden pools so bugs fall in during the stay and you can’t get them out
- Bug infestation during our last night in the room, was horrific
- Animal poo fell on our bed from the straw ceiling

Overall, still a wonderful experience and I’d be happy to come back!
Pros:

I truly loved my stay here! Beautiful nature, amazing beach, very polite staff – everything felt like a little paradise.

Cons:

Small things to improve:
1. The air conditioner looked powerful but didn’t really cool as set – probably just needs a Freon refill.
2. The main pool in the center could be cleaned more often.
3. The small pools near the rooms could use fresher water, there were small particles.
4. The beach wasn’t cleared from sargassum like in some other hotels.

Cons:

Calidad-precio no es nada rentable, no es 100% como se aprecia en las fotos, lo menos que nos gustó fue la piscina privada con falta de mantenimiento y la playa con mucho sargazo y basura ( era época de sargazo también) pero se ve que no hacen ni por quitarlo ni el mínimo esfuerzo

Pros:

Die Lage ist top. Die Bungalow mit direktem Meerblick und Strandzugang sind genial. Aufwachen mit einer solchen Aussicht ist grandios. Wir hatten Zimmer 50, einfach schön. Etwas abgelegen aber genau so wollten wir es.

Cons:

FRÜHSTÜCKSKARTE ist sehr überschaubar. Dürfte mehr bieten.
LIEGEN am Strand sind zu wenige. Es werden Sitzstühle benötigt, was das "Sonnenbanden" ruiniert. Es gibt Liegen und auch Sandmatrazen aber einfach nicht genügend. Wenn man früh dran ist, kann man jedoch diese für den ganzen Tag in Anspruch nehmen.
Vor Zimmer 50 gibt es ein kleiner nicht gut begehbarer Strand der nicht gereinigt wird (leider!) PLASTIK und ALGEN sammeln sich da. Über die Zeit riecht es recht unangenehm.
WLAN/WiFi ist schwach.

Mit nur etwas mehr Liebe und Engagement könnten diese 4 Punkte ohne grosses Aufwand hochgefahren werden. DANN WÄRE DIESE ANLAGE EINE GLATTE 9+

Trendy but noisy and no water
Pros:

We had a queen room with a private plunge pool which was nice. The room was trendy decorated with nice relaxing areas, low lighting and a bar area. The restaurants on site are excellent and very good value for the area. Overall the hotel feels stylish and is a great location on the beach, at the town end.

Cons:

The traditional style huts are nice but we had rodents in the thatch roof which left droppings on our bed and kept us awake at night running around the roof. Due to this roof the aircon is less effective so blasts down at you in the bed... it was cool but blowy. You could also hear loud music at night, despite it being at the far end of the beach, from a night club (til 6am) and beach party next door (til midnight-ish) the next night. There was no drinking water provided, not even in the minibar, and when we asked at reception we were provided with a couple of tiny bottles and the next day were permitted to fill up one bottle with a jug - there should at least be a free 24hr refill station in reception. The coffee machine in the room is a nespresso with 1 pod provided charged at minibar prices, but the raw love cafe on site sells it. Overall its a trendy and well-located place but some basic necessities for comfort/sleep are lacking.
