The property of Maya Tulum is absolutely gorgeous and beautifully maintained. We loved that the grounds had mangroves and palm trees and water features. The cabanas were very clean and attractive and had good privacy. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. We loved the 3 onsite restaurants were excellent and the service was very friendly. We especially enjoyed our server, Rodger, at Embarcada beach club. He was super friendly and had great suggestions on things to do in the area. Coffee and breakfast at the Raw Love Cafe was excellent.

Cons:

I felt like the front desk concierge staff could be more informative and helpful regarding both the services and activities that are available both on the property and in the surrounding area-- such as possible tours and sight seeing opportunities and restaurants. We were also disappointed by how expensive everything was in the hotel zone of Tulum Beach. We were also informed that we would be provided with bottles of fresh drinking water daily but we had to keep requesting it from the front desk.

A wonderfully relaxing vacation.
Pros:

The beach was beautiful. You could walk anywhere and find a place to sit and look at the water. All of the people working there were extremely helpful and pleasant. We loved the beach area with the infinity pool and the awesome food. We would stay there stay there again.

Cons:

Sargassum, however, I understand this is something that can’t be controlled at certain times of the year. But I understand as well that all staff are involved in getting rid of the sargassum and ensuring the beaches are clear for guests.

NEVER stay here - the staff are scammers and the property is UNFIT and dangerous to stay in.

Cons:

The entire property grounds were derlict. Staff scammed me out of money when I booked. They pretended I booked a more expensive room then pretended they upgraded me to it for free. The hotel grounds were very unsafe - elecrical wires exposed, sharp shrapnel pieces of wood everywhere, dirty water, wires hanging from cabling at the top, dirty water in pools, sargassum seaweed piled as high as I have ever seen it in Tulum - extremely bad for your health to breathe in. Beach loungers dirty and falling apart. The room we went to view before leaving had water leaking from the toilet. It was a disaster. Shame as it could be so nice, but clearly they ran out of money.

Die Lage in der Bucht ist sehr schön. Eigentlich schöner weißer Sand. Die Anlage ist weitläufig und sehr schön angelegt!

Cons:

Ausstattung nicht wie beschrieben: Es gibt leider nur ein kostspieliges Frühstücksangebot, keine Steckdose in Bettnähe, Kaffee- und Teezubehör nur gegen Gebühr, kein Bügeleisen, kein Haartrockner, Frischwasser nur auf tägliche Nachfrage. Zimmer sind sehr dunkel. Bei Wind lösen sich immer wieder Kleinteile von der Palmblattdecke und landen auf dem Bett. Bei Regen war unser Dach undicht. Auf Nachfrage wurde uns mitgeteilt, dass das bei Naturbedachungen normal sei.....
Leider viel zu viel Seegras, so dass ein Zugang zum Meer nicht möglich war (außer man bewegt sich durch lange, hohe Seegrasberge). Das verrottete Seegras riecht außerdem sehr streng. Es wurde nichts gereingt, wie z.B. an anderen Hotelstränden. Generell ist das hohe Seegrasaufkommen an dieser Küste ein großes Naturproblem.

Schöne Hotelanlage aber Zimmer könnten erneuert werden!

Tolle Lage. Sehr freundliches Personal! Auf Wunsch ein neues Zimmer erhalten. Sehr Schöne Hotelanlage!

Cons:

Leider sind durch die Dächer viele Ameisen und Käfer im Zimmer gewesen. Zusätzlich bröselt es vom Dach runter. Wenn der Wind geht, ist es durch das dünne Dach sehr laut im Zimmer. Da unser Zimmer dreckig und mit Ameisen voll war, bekamen wir aber schnell ein neues Zimmer, welches besser war.

Ganz gut , wenn die Temperaturen nicht unter 20 grad sinken.

Die Lage war atemberaubend,die Palmen in der Anlage mit Kokosnüssen, muss man auf passen , kann mal eine runter fallen.

Cons:

Beim Regen hatten wir schon bedenken dass das Dach dicht ist. Da ja an der einen oder anderen Stelle die Sonne herein schien. War dicht . Aber da es nicht so dicht auch Tür sind . Kam die kühle Nacht schon herein. 16 Grad. Leider hat die Klima nicht geheizt. Die Anlage wurde mal super schön gebaut, aber kam dann in die Jahre. Auch bei den anderen Dächern muss nachgebessert werden.

Will not stay here again with my family.
Pros:

White sand, the pool, ocean walk was ok.

Cons:

Rooms were not as pictured. Dirty Glass cups thrown outside our room door. with small kids not appropriate, glass was never by staff. We make the complaint to clean it. Rooms were giving far out separate. Our family was not close by to each other. We asked for closer rooms. But our request was denied. Not a good service from staff. in my experience.
