A fantastic place to stay in Muscat
Pros:

We were upgraded which was a lovely surprise. The room was huge and very well equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay
The gym facilities and pool were fantastic and the service is top notch!

The staff is simply excellent. Polite, thoughtful problem solving and fast in doing so. Wifi speed and quality excellent.
Two pools good for laps but not deep enough. Sauna and steam room not always on.
Decor old fashioned and some of the structures need updating.

Not a 5 star by any stretch
Pros:

This just isn’t a 5 star hotel, the majority of staff were friendly but the place is tired and needs work. Large areas outdoors were shut off and broken sundeds strewn around, lights on the pool hanging by electrical cables to name a few. Service was mostly slow, taking 20 minutes to check into a near empty hotel and having to wait for over 30 minutes for a bottle of water at the steak restaurant when we were literally the only guests in there at 7:30pm, we wended up back in the room with a takeaway, the waitress never came back. The club lounge manager was very nice and the chef was very friendly, breakfast was good with prompt service.

The property and staff were excellent it was situated in a convenient location for our trip.
Just didn’t understand why there were carpets in the rooms in a hot country these can look grubby very quickly and spoil the look.

Well run hotel with wonderful staff
Pros:

Well run hotel in good location. Food was really good (room service dinner and breakfast buffet). Staff very attentive. Lovely pool. They do need more lounge chairs and umbrellas as twice in our three day stay not available. More staff serving food and drinks on pool deck would be helpful and more bar selection as many items on the menu weren’t available.
Rooms big, very clean with large bathrooms. Housekeeping staff so friendly and responsive. Recommend new mattresses / pillow tops as ours was older and hard. Overall great 3 night stay!
