Newport House Playa Boutique Hotel

Great reasonably priced hotel for long stays. Full kitchens and laundry facilities. all the staff is great. Housekeeping is outstanding.

Very large room and nice roof. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The location is very central to everything.

The ONE thing is say is the key card didn’t always work, but this was super minor.

This is where we will book on our annual trip to Playa.

SCAM, very bad experience, poor customer service.
When we arrived they told us the room was not ready, so we decided to go to the centre, when we came back they told us the fridge in our room was not working ( we booked that hotel because we needed a kitchen/ fridge available). We therefore requested to change room but they didn’t have one available so they offered us a 50% discount which it never arrived, they kept saying it was on the way but it wasn’t. A proper scam! Don’t trust the good reviews

Fridge was not working and hotel smelled bad.

Loved my stay here. It was a very cute apartment style hotel and the bed was super comfortable. It's on 10ave awaybfrom the busier 5th but still has quite the scene and much to do surrounding it. You have a few breakfast places, a 7/11 other small corner stores, a grocery store is a block away and good restaurants on 10th and around the corner. Definitely check out Rockas which is a few blocks up 10th Ave.

I stayed here for over a week and really was very happy with my stay. The location was great, the staff was wonderful, and the ability to use bikes for free was definitely a highlight. The accommodations are spacious, bed and bedding is great and comfortable. They do supply some coffee and sugars to start but otherwise you will need to get everything else you need for cooking as well as any drinking waters. I did ask for some salt at front desk and they were able to provide which was very much appreciated. Water pressure in the shower is very weak but I think this is the standard in Playa. The hotel supplied beach towels and even a small beach bag in the room. The beach bag fit perfectly in the basket of the hotel bikes. I will say again, the staff was so great and helpful. The value of this place was great for the price but I do have to say that right after I returned when I was already planning to go back to PDC and was interested in re-booking Newport House, that the prices are now 3 times higher than when I was booking. And this is now the standard price for the remainder of the year. The value was great for the price I paid but at these new prices I will unfortunately not be going back to NHP as there are many other great, affordable options in the area in a similar price range to what I paid originally.

Loved my stay at Newport house playa. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I loved having the use of free bikes during my stay. The location was great and close to 5th avenue but enough away from the noise. I’ll hopefully be back!

I absolutely loved the time we spent at this hotel, it felt very upscale while still being very affordable. Everything about this hotel was very well thought out, from the pool and the shaded sunbeds perfectly placed around and the shower and washroom available on the pool deck so you didn't have to go down to your room to use the facilities to the rooms amenities. Having a full size fridge in the room made having chilled drinks and snacks available at all times was great. Even the washroom set up was so well thought out, in our washroom there was 2 rooms, one with a shower and a sink and the other with a toilet and a sink so 2 people could use a sink and mirror at the same time making the getting ready process very quick. There was black out curtains in the bedroom and regular curtains in the living space with doors separating so sleeping in or getting up early was very easy. The area itself is so close to 5th Ave but far enough that you don't catch any noise. The beach was a short 10 minute walk from the hotel but if the beach was too busy the pool area was a great substitute. The gentleman working at the front desk were so kind, from the minute we walked into the perfectly air condititines and clean scented (it literally sment like clean laundry all through the hotel, it was incredible) hotel we felt completely at ease. The kind and gentle demeanor from all the hotel staff was enough for us to want to come back again. I cannot wait to return to the Newport house Playa!!

The hotel staff were excellent. I had a spacious room that was very clean. There was a minor inconvenience of the refrigerator in the room being broken, but the staff were great about letting me use the mini fridge at their desk. The roof deck is small but very nicely decorated.

Lovely flat in the centre but far enough to be more quiet at night. You will find everything you need in the flat. The roof top is such a great place to chill

The hotel is considered as a 4star hotel, that isn't true. Needs to upgrade appliances in the rooms... also there's no air conditioner in the hotel ( it's only in the rooms). The area with a pool on the top of the hotel is also dissapointing..., needs some renovation!

This place is a gem quiet clean friendly staff who are 10/10 would highly recommend:))

It was my second stay at this property, as I really liked it the first time around. The area is developing quickly and it's not as quiet as the first time I was there, but on the other hand that means more dining options nearby. The location is perfect if you want to be outside the party district but still within easy walking distance of bars, shops and restaurants, and the area felt very safe. Parking our rental car on the street below was easy, but you do have to pay and there's a 6 hour limit between 10 am and pm, so we generally parked a few streets away where it's free. The apartment itself was clean and comfortable, and the rooftop area is a nice place to chill after daytrips. The kitchen is perfect for having breakfast or heating food in the microwave but not super well equipped if you're counting on cooking more advanced meals there. This worked for us since there are so many great restaurants nearby anyway! The staff was always friendly and helpful.

This was a great short-stay option.

I have stayed here 2 times the first time was incredible which is why I came back I thought the price is good and the room is very clean and the staff is very professional and courteous and the location is perfect for where I like to stay but on my second trip just last week the refrigerator was not Working which is why I gave it an overall 4 stars but had it not been for that it would have definitely gotten 5 stars from me
