Clean and friendly hotel. Stayed for convenience of being near the train station (although you do hear the trains!).
Very friendly staff, Sabbir, Gabbi and Hayat looked after us well. Breakfast was lovely and fresh and plentiful and the restaurant was spotless with every care being made to make sure we had everything we needed.
Rooms are clean and comfortable. Will definitely stay again next time we have a night out in London.
Restaurant was very reasonable and food was lovely. Staff behind the bar were very friendly. Location is great for access to underground
Nice and handy for tower bridge, the DLR , tower gateway. Nice atmosphere pizzas were lovely, staff great. Thanks to Gabby and Ilona at breakfast. We are staying in a super room but personally I don't like shower curtains and the shower blocked up straight away and took ages to drain. Also very warm in the room. No air con and when the Windows are open it's just too noisy.
Everyone is always so pleasant and helpful. Service with a smile. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The hotel is always well kept and the rooms are clean. We’ve been back many times and never been disappointed.
I had read the reviews mentioning the noise and this is why I had picked a room facing the street and at the end of the corridor.
I have lived next to a railway track and, more recently, near an airport but this is another level. It was like Silverstone was outside the window!!! I do not understand why, as the street does not appear to be particularly busy and it did quieten down in the early hours - when you have to get up. Don't make the same mistake. Pick a different location.
Really nice time at this hotel, lovely staff at breakfast especially Gabriela and Hayat
The location was perfect to get to where I needed to be during this trip. Room was noisy as facing the train line but otherwise ok. Breakfast was lovely.
We were served in the bar by Barbora. She’s such a lovely person. Very friendly and bubbly. We are hoping to see her again when we will return. Thank you for an amazing experience.
The hotel is a simple, but clean and well organized place. The location is perfect and all runs well.
I particularly have to mention Gabby serving at the Breakfast Area. Sh should work in a 5-Star Restaurant. She took extra care and was outstanding with service and friendliness. Thank you!
Best Points - Staff were friendly, location was great for DLR and an easy walk from London Bridge station. Soundproofing was excellent, considering it was next to a busy main road, was not disturbed by any noise. Pizza and beer were good. Breakfast was plentiful and enjoyable for the price with good service.
Bad points - accessible room was huge but very sparse with two beds squeezed into the corner, a small desk, couple of chairs and a small shelf on the wall with a few hangers underneath. The shelf (which was covered in dust) and hangers were too high to reach from a wheelchair, not great in an accessible room! there were no shelves in the bathroom to stand any toiletries. Both the vanity light above the desk and the headboard light were not working, although we did not have time to report this to reception so cannot comment on if this would have been resolved. I would however expect this to have be checked and raised by housekeeping prior to our arrival.
The wheelchair access to the hotel is very poor with a steep concrete ramp to the entrance, obviously thrown in as an afterthought, which was blocked by cars in the disabled bay.
Overall, stay was ok based on the price and location was good for the purpose of our visit.
Breakfast was very good, Hayat Ilona was very kind and prepares delicious breakfast.
Nice and stay and amazing breakfast. All staff is very nice and friendly. Special thanks to Hayat ILona
Location of the hotel is perfect, minutes away from Tower of London and the City, really easy to move around, plenty of supermarkets, cafes, restaurants and pubs. Breakfast there was fine, cheap option to get an full breakfast (bacon, sausages, eggs, beans, toasts, etc), not a lot of pastries available. Room was not noisy at all, something that concerned us, and the blackout curtain worked wonders. The only problem would be that it was small, and got a bit crowded for the three of us, specially with so little space for luggage and clothes. You have to remember they only replace towels and empty bins daily if you remember to hang the tag on your door, and they won't clean or make the beds, it's on you. Bathroom was great, good water preassure and temperature. But the best of it was the staff, Gabby and Hayat were always helpful, same with everyone at reception. We would definitively consider coming back next time we fly to London.
Great location for everything. Very close to Tower Hill tube and Tower gateway DLR. We had a room on the ground floor at the rear of the hotel closest to the train lines, but wasn’t disturbed by any noise from them. Great staff. Great choice for breakfast.
Only let down was the room furniture and provisions were very limited. The room had a bed, a desk, a chair and a TV. We were 2 people there for 3 days and had barely anywhere to put our things. There was one shelf that housed the spare pillows and a section for 5 hangers. There was no bedside unit or tables. Just tiny cubby holes that could hold a glass of water or your phone, but not both. No where to put underwear in a drawer etc. If only staying for 1 night not a problem. But for a couple of days a drawer would be nice. Only 2 bath towels and one hand towel provided. Nothing for a bath mat. As women we also needed a towel for our hair. No glasses in the bathroom for a drink of water.
Tea and coffee - 2 tea bags, 2 coffee. So we could either have a tea in the evening or a tea in the morning. Not enough tea bags or milk for 2 people to have 2 drinks without having to traipse back to reception and go get more. when just arrived in the room and had one drink each. Neither of us drink coffee.
No iron, ironing board or hair dryer in the room. Had to go to reception and drag it all back to our room.
We weren’t expecting the ritz. But not a nuns cell either.
Gabby and the rest of the staff were very polite and helpful, especially with faults in our hotel room and breakfast. Thank you for your service.
We stayed here from 13/3/26 until 15/3/26, and l cannot fault anything. The room was clean & tidy as was everywhere else in the hotel. Staff were very attentive and polite. This hotel is in a great position for seeing the many fantastic sites in London. Thank you. Our server was Gabby Hayet, a very nice helpful lady.
Really nice experience front to end! Great service from checkin to breakfast.
Lovely experience - very helpful staff - we had a good night’s sleep. Amazing breakfast.
Very welcoming staff - Gabby did an amazing job of making us feel at easy
This was our second stay at this Travelodge.
Convenient location, good breakfast, and super happy helpful staff. By far one of the nicest London Travelodges we’ve stayed in
I’ve had a good time at Travel Lodge TowerGateway. I stayed in one of the super rooms and it was quiet. I’ve always had breakfast this morning and it was delicious and quite warm.
Gabby and Sabbir were quite helpful during breakfast and thanks to the chef Samad for the meal.
