Cuillin Hills Hotel

Came back here after 10 years for a trip for my partners 40th. Rooms have been done up since our last visit and definitely more modern, but still extremely comfortable. Staff were great, especially at the bar in the evenings - both the people over our three nights were knowledgable when we were sampling the many whiskies! Great location. Breakfast was fabulous - everything we had was great especially the eggs royale! Thank you for a special weekend!

Wonderful stay in a fabulous setting. Everything was first class and we can’t wait to return. The best meal of our trip was in the hotel.

Best hotel I’ve stayed in all round. Staff are fabulous. Rooms are very comfortable especially the beds. Wish I had taken the name of the mattress. Lovely views whether garden or sea view. Food fantastic and outstanding breakfast. Really keen to go back.

When I was looking for a place to celebrate our wedding anniversary, I opted for Isle of Skye. Since it's the 10th anniversary, I wanted to go for a place very nice to stay at.
The hotel enjoys a splendid view - you have Loch Portree and Cuillin Hills on a clear day. We were lucky to enjoy the view when we had breakfast there.
I really appreciated the hand written cards congratulations our milestone which both we were very delighted. The dinner was incredibly delicious. The way they cooked the chicken breast was phenomenal - probably the best I've ever had in the UK so far. The bread was also nice!
The room was huge and everything inside was clean and up to standard.
The staff was so professional and friendly which made our stay to another level.
I'm so glad I picked this location to celebrate our journey of love. Thanks!

The hotel is in an amazing location, and makes the most of the stunning view. Being led to a window table at breakfast on my first visit (alone) is what keeps pulling me back to the Cuillin Hills!
Everyone is always very friendly and helpful. It is lovely being there.

The staff were so nice and incredibly helpful, always welcoming and happy to assist with anything we needed. Breakfast was excellent — there were so many options and everything was absolutely delicious.
Dinner at the restaurant was brilliant, especially the fish dishes, which were fresh and full of flavour. Our room had everything we needed, was spotless, and very comfortable. And the views are truly something else — absolutely breathtaking.

As always the hotel did not disappoint, all staff friendly and helpful, service in both restaurant and bar was excellent and room was clean warm and had all facilities you would expect from hotel of this calibre.

Stayed here numerous times for my wife’s birthday and it never disappoints- great accommodation , lovely food and the service has been absolutely outstanding on every occasion- staff are so friendly and attentive in a relaxed environment.Ideal base to explore all that Skye has to offer too.

This is a very special place. All of the staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Great rooms, excellent location. Food was amazing. Special shout out to John for arranging the best bacon and egg sandwiches for our early drive out of town but to be honest this was just typical of the service we received the whole stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel...everything was perfect...the staff were especially helpful and very pleasant.
We will definitely visit again.

This was our first time staying here and we already decided that we will be back! Our stay was sadly only for one night, but everything was absolutely wonderful. The dinner menu is somewhat limited, but the food was delicious. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Best hotel we have ever stayed in! Luxury hotel, love all the little extras and attention to detail. It was quiet so got a free room upgrade and wow! The view from the room, the modern room and bathroom, everything is just amazing. Hotel staff are all very lovely and helpful, breakfast options are amazing and the food is just so fresh and tasty. Worth every penny, still got 1 more night here and looking forward to it, will definitely be back

Absolutely loved the stay, delicious breakfast, comfortable and clean rooms, friendly staff, gorgeous living room area and bar. Nice and quiet. Visited off season and price reflected. Would definitely visit again (perhaps with a more snow-worthy car!).

A long drive and a warm welcome at Cuillin Hills. This is a lovely hotel overlooking Portree on the Isle of Skye. It's the sort of place you could stay all day and take in the impressive views to the Cuillin hills, or if you're inclined to head off round Skye, it's a wonderful base for all the Island offers.
Bedroom was huge and comfortable, the hotel is very well appointed and maintained. Food and drink and service as good as the best hotels I've stayed in.

Excellent stay. Can’t fault the service. Food was exceptional. Only criticism is that 2 beds are put together to make one.

Our overnight stay at the hotel was simple superb! We had to change our date & this was done with ease, no bother to them at all. The setting is stunning even in stormy weather, the hotel was decorated so beautifully for Christmas, staff so friendly, room luxurious & spotlessly clean & both dinner & breakfast was delicious. Was so full after both meals!
Could not fault a thing. Will highly recommending this hotel & will definitely be returning.

Friendly staff supportive, patient, professional, efficient… just ooozes highland hospitality. Top location overlooking the harbour, so peaceful and within a short walk to Portree centre. The guest lounge with the crackling log fire, comfortable seating provided a memorable evening. The bedroom is spacious, incredibly well equipped, quality linen, comfortable bed.. an excellent nights sleep. Thoughful addition included nespresso virtuo including capsules varity if quality teas and a cheeky tunnocks chocolate biscuit. Menus for breakfast, lunch and evening meals featured local produce, seafood, meats, cheese, and imaginative vegetarian options too. The shared plates round the fireside with the twinkly Christmas decorations is a memory that will last for a long time. A truly special stay.

Hotel was beautiful. Close to town. Large rooms with comfortable bed and great size bathroom. Food was good and staff were all lovely. Highly recommend staying here.
