Our stay was during the late fall in the latter part of November, so it was cold at night and mornings. Luckily, our room had heated floors and all the climate control you could want. We were toasty. The view from the balcony as the sun rose over the mountains was breathtaking, and beautiful birds fluttered against our window. Being the off-season, we were the only guests, and the place felt like our private mansion, complete with a 24-hour butler. I liked that they provided free soft drinks in the kitchen fridge and coffee on demand. All the food served at Arcadia was of top-notch quality. The chef truly has a gift. The breakfast, though somewhat limited in choices, was always delicious and served fresh and hot. There was inside dining and the option of eating outside on the patio. But the real delight was the dinners. Multi-course, well-prepared, and super fresh, these meals were culinary delights to my taste buds. I highly recommend the local dishes he prepares with vegetables from the onsite garden and meat that was slaughtered the same day! It was simply the best Chinese food I had ever enjoyed. I always skipped lunch so I could fully enjoy the dinner meals. The western food menu was good, but the Chinese cuisine is not to be missed. After a meal, there is plenty of hiking on the mountain road or drive into the village to explore.
Cheese was missing from the breakfast menu. The outside facilities were a little unkempt, but this is understandable given our stay during the cold November off-season with limited staff. Wish we had gotten a chance to try the hot tub, but we didn't bring swimsuits.
It’s a beautiful, serene location. The food is delicious, and the staff are always willing to go above and beyond to help. It’s a great hotel to relax and enjoy nature.
The hotel is set in a stunning location — you can’t even capture how beautiful it is in photos. In the mornings, I just wanted to sit on my balcony and look around, didn’t even feel like reading. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a great bed. The food was truly delicious. They offer tea, coffee, soft drinks, beer, wine, and also whiskey. There’s a lovely common area to sit and relax, and a beautiful pool. You can do amazing hikes using the routes they provide or go with a guide. Communication with the host is perfect, just add him on WeChat.

What is not to like?! From the moment I booked this getaway, Ernest had been super engaged. We were looking to spend a few days quality family time with our parents away from the hustle bustle of Shanghai city life, Arcardia certainly delivered! The entire team provided top notch services.
We were taken well care of by the private driver both ways; from the moment we arrived, Terry, the head manager provided butler service daily, we received excellent local advice to be able to visit some beautiful sites and due to my parents' old age and ability to walk, we also did a fantastic pottery making private class in the nearby town, they enjoyed it so much. The food Arcadia offered was top notch as well, chef Leo worked wonders daily. We were pampered with both delicioius Western and Chinese cuisines and they were gourmet style and beautifully presented.
The site ... i mean, you will have to see it for yourself, the picture does not do its justice. The pool is hugged by a vast land of mountains covered by greens, the path to the property is full of tall bamboo plants, charming to say the least.
Rooms are spacious and comfortable. My parents were given a ground level room to accomodate their mobility, and we had a top floor room with a balcony and "the" view.
Our vacation was 10/10 and would love to be able to return another time with friends. Thank you Ernest and team for the magical memory for our family.
I wish we could be spend a couple more days before having to leave for Shanghai again ;)

It was an amazing experience! This is not the first time I've been here, and it has always been a very pleasant experience. If you come to China, you must not miss Arcadia Resorts. It takes only about two hours to drive from Shanghai downtown.
A red cottage seems isolated from the world in the quiet mountains and endless bamboo forests, in the fresh air full of plant fragrance. Cozy and comfortable rooms, wonderful dinners, unexpected outdoor hot springs and swimming pool, and of course, the hospitable and talkative hosts. Everything is so perfect!
The most wonderful host Ernest! Could not have been more friendly and accommodating to any needs asked for. Unbelievable food and service from the staff. Gorgeous location, beautiful views. I really can’t articulate just how good our stay at Arcadia was. Value for money in every aspect. Rooms were incredible and high end furnishings. One of the most comfortable beds I ever stayed on. Just another level of hospitality and comfort.

Loved it. Coffee was the best. Terry always close by to help. Waking in the morning to look at the beautiful view of tranquility. Best sleeps we had ever had. The hike up the mountain was an experience and going to Moganshan reserve too!

Our family of 4 had a fantastic stay at Arcadia. The location comes with great views and a quiet calm, there are walking trails starting literally next to the house. The rooms were spacious and clean, the beds comfortable. The service was friendly and relaxed, but also attentive. The communication with the Arcadia team was clear and easy, especially with the dedicated wechatgroup created only for us. We all enjoyed the good food we were served, and the children had great fun making noodles with the chef. The area has lots to offer, even though we only took shorter walks. The bamboo forest is a surreal experience. I cannot recommend Arcadia enough.

Nice little boutique hotel. Upper room with beautiful balcony and dream view. Very nice and attentive staff. Very nice pool in the middle of the bamboo forest.

The hotel has a small swimming pool, which has brought us lots of fun, especially for my 3 years old son. Best way to get him tired ;-)
They have a very nice cook, who has prepared great suppers for us.
The hotel locates in the mountains, it’s not so easy to call a taxi.
