I very much enjoyed my stay at hotel Sea Shell and would definitely stay here again.
Pros:

The included breakfast alternated between American and Japanese style and was excellent. The location was on mountainous terrain and had beautiful views of the ocean/ beach and surrounding neighborhoods. Very clean resort and comfortable. There is Shirahama shrine nearby and is gorgeous.Thanks to Takashi and staff were superb in everything they did (especially breakfast)

下田の海、海鮮、ロケーション最高　　大満足なひと時でした
Pros:

景色がとても良い
夕食、朝食共にとっても上品で大変満足

Cons:

リノベーションされた施設かと思いますが、所々で日焼けなどして色褪せした所がありました。
ただそれを上回る魅力満載な施設です。

A classy stylish retreat overlooking the bay.
Pros:

Takashi and family run a wonderful hotel, everybody was so polite and friendly. Each room is slightly different, I stayed in Asuka which had a classic nautical vibe which I loved. Great views and a delightful outdoor shower/bath. The two spas onsite were a lovely experience at the end of the day. Oh and the breakfast was amazing!

It was lovely!
Pros:

Amazing hotel! Amazing view. Our room was very nice, the view was great, the a/c worked lovely. They had an English speaking staff member who helped us.

It was our fault not realizing the menu was almost all fish. We are not fish people but they went out of their way to make us a different breakfast. A++ service. Thank you!
