The location was brilliant and the staff were very friendly and always ready to help.

Cons:

The cleanliness of the linen, towels and mattresses were absolutely appalling. All 3 had too many stains and rips in them to even count, the stains were on the areas of the bed where you can imagine the deed is done. When we lifted the sheet we thought someone had been killed om the bed but realized there were 3 different colors of mould on the mattress. The towels were not properly washed and almost had a brown tint to them. You felt dirty constantly in those rooms and worse getting into those beds. For the price you would expect a little more quality.
There were also no towel hangers and the room was not what it was advertised to be.
Our water also randomly turned on and off throughout our three nights.
If you thought that was the worst part you are wrong. From 6 in the morning till 6 at night for all 3 days we were there, constant construction and renovation was going on in the building next to us. It was extremely loud and impossible to sleep or even keep your sanity. We couldn’t be there during the day as the noise was too much and when we asked staff they couldn’t give an answer as to when it would end and we received no warning whatsoever before the time. It sounded like constant Jack hammering, drilling, hammering and tiles smashing from the crack of dawn till late afternoon. And there was no sound proofing in the rooms at all to lessen the noise. It must’ve been the worst place in the world to wake up hungover.
The workers who were working on the rooms also seemed to be staying in those rooms 24/7 and would sleep on the floor and it was generally just a complete mess and unattractive. We attached a photo of opposite our two rooms.

Perfect for the price.
Pros:

Right on the main street of Gili, walking distance from the port which is good as you don't need to use the horses! It is cruel. Easy rental through the hotel along with any boat/snorkelling tours.

Cons:

The room next to us told us to be quiet at 8pm! However that isn't the hotels fault at all. We booked the private villa with the pool too.

Pros:

Great place to stay, keep in mind it’s across from the sand bar and jungle bar which can be loud until 12-3am. Luckily we were able to sleep through it but if you’re a light sleeper you may have trouble. Great location though, would stay again

Pros:

We enjoyed how close it was to the dock and the location, the room itself was very dirty with mold and blood stains on the bed. The hotel is on top of a nightclub so expect noise until the late night hours. Staff was very nice.

Unser Zimmer war sehr dreckig und absolut nicht wie auf den abgegebenen Bildern. Zusätzlich war im Badezimmer ein schrecklicher Gestank.
Das Personal war jedoch freundlich und die Lage des Hotels war in Ordnung.
Wir würden es nicht empfehlen

Complete room, Superb location to boat terminal, restaurants, music, shops. Everything around! However, Please advertise in the future room 205 as “sea-side” instead of “sea-view”! The tree between the balcony and the sea is not from yesterday and will not disappear tomorrow😉!

Pros:

In picture property looks beautiful however it is not well maintained. The gate to the villa did not lock, only fixed the second day we were there. Plunge pool had no water circulating and after we complained it was cleaned, rooms show tvs however had none - this was not important to us however paid a high price for an accommodation that was not as advertised. Booked online so non refundable and only concession from property was free breakfast one of the mornings of the two we booked. Only positive was good location.

Great location but margjnal accommodations.
Pros:

The hotel is in a great location. The staff were friendly. The rooms are worn down. Now I realize this is a remote location but a little extra cleaning and minor repairs could go a long way. The room did not have any shampoo and barely any body soap and toilet paper. I asked for more but they never brought it.

Gili Sands Hotel and Bar August 23
Pros:

We stayed at the Gili Sands Hotel and Bar for 3 nights.
On arrival we worn shown to our adjoining villas with small private pool and outside area with seating and beds.
The rooms were quite big with a large comfortable bed with clean bedding. A door leading outside to the toilet and shower at the back of the building. Clean towels were supplied.
I then noticed that neither of our doors or the gate locked properly and there wasn’t a safe. Some work had been applied to the doors but only a temporary measure.
We then noticed that some of the smaller rooms were having building work done and renovations being carried out.
I’m guessing this will carry on through the hotel.
Apart from the door locks not working we did have a pleasant stay in a good location close to everything but be aware the music at the weekends goes on until early hours.
