Our stay on 19th & 20th March 2026 at Hotel Mayura chalukya..

Environment, Room cleanliness, helpful entire staff..

Cons:

Checkin and checkout timings are absolutely inconvenient..
After 450 km journey, needed immediate room entry since we were tired & we wanted to go to temple but without bath we couldn't as we had to wait for 3 hours for Check-in..
Similarly we had to checkout at 11am & we had train at 4pm so we had to wait outside for 4 hours..Not happy at all..very painful.
Need 24 hours checkout system. Or else needed one room for rest.

Overall it was nice experience. Descent cafeteria and garden space. Breakfast was delicious.

Cons:

However, one important aspect is toilet seat, it was very uncomfortable for me. I strongly advice staff must review it and necessary correction should be done.

Nothing left for former splendor

Cons:

There is nothing left to like. It’s run down, no maintenance at all and a disgrace for the state of Karnakata to host visitors to Badami in this rundown hotel,
Everything is dirty, room, public space, garden.
It is also not that near to the sights of Badami, about 30 minutes walking along an ugly busy road and back again. Food can be good or bad depending on the mood of the cook I guess.

The hotel staff was good & ok.
Food is good
Natural ambience is amazing
I got to see a woodpecker, parrot, craw pheasant, monkeys and other birds.
But hot water 24/7
Breakfast food available in hotel from 8 to 22 hrs

Insect killing should be prefered.
Sink taps was loose.
