Warmest of welcomes in all respects
Pros:

Arrived this morning, almost a day late but breakfast was waiting and so were the lovely staff. I could not have been made to feel more welcome by Harvey, Janet and Mikey. Room

Pros:

The location was great.

Cons:

The wallpaper was hanging off the wall in my room, the service desk was not staffed, my bed was at angle sloping towards my head, the TV did not work. Overall a very disappointing experience.

Given its a 2* hotel - it is exceptional in all things that matter to relax and enjoy.
Pros:

Lovely historic hotel which gives it amazing charm. It's not your standard run of the mill bland Travelodge or Premier Inn.
Add the fantastic location, extensive car park, wonderful staff who clearly care and want you to have the best stay possible, substantial breakfast, value for money and finally incredibly comfortable beds/linen for a relaxing sleep.

Cons:

Nothing - was sad when I had to leave.

AVOID
Pros:

An absolute dump of a hotel. From the moment you walk in to see the dirty carpets and damp smelling staircase, to the bedrooms which are in a state. The kettle was yellow(used to be white) wallpaper peeling off of the walls. Filthy windows. A triple room the size of a single in most hotels, with about 1 foot of space between beds. Ceiling light with dead insects inside. Dirty carpets in the room… which were holes too…No evening meals. Staff helpful but in need of some sort of uniform instead of whatever they found at the bottom of the basket that day.
