L’accueil, la chambre tout finalement
Rien tout est parfait
We highly recommend this place if you are visiting Mahiyangana.
Bed is comfortable, room is clean (also serviced daily), has aircon and hot water. Breakfast is great with lots of options. Lunch and Dinner menus are also extensive, which is good considering this is not yet a high tourist area.
The hotel workers speak good English and will assist you with everything. Their own tours mean you have everything you need in the one place. But you can also simply ask for a tuk tuk if you want to explore on your own.
We did both the Dambana Vedda Village tour and the Rathna Ella Falls and it was amazing.
The team really go above and beyond and they even packed us a take away breakfast as we checked out early for our next destination.

Issue with room, although solved with an upgrade. Remote and difficult to get to and from by taxi.
Wonferful luxury hotel. Very comfortable. Great rooms. Will definately return. Guide and Naturalist Sanosh very knowledgeable and kind person. Take him with you on one of thewonderful excursions the htl organises
That I only stayed one night
Clean, very kind staff exept for mr manager..
I didn't appreciate mr manager, who in clear site and hearing distance of us, one by one called his very polite and pleasant staff by him, and clearly (although I could't understand, but the tone of his voice was obvious) was telling them off, even getting angry at them.. He was walking around like a little dictator only out to misuse his power. Could see that his staff was frightend of him.. Not a good coaching leader.. Also, if you have to have a 'word' with your employees, you should do this out of sight (and hearing) of your cliënts and other employees.
The lobby can be considered ok.
The pool is not a pool at all.
The bedrooms (at least the ground floor ones) are a joke. The bathroom is not even a camping bathroom, with showers directly on the wc.
The staff is nice, but I can not understand how is possible to take one hour to get food and drinks in à basically empty hotel!
We had an amazing stay there, even if only for one night. The staff was very nice with us, especially with our children. The food was delicious !
Nothing
The facilities were outstanding — so much so that we decided to fully enjoy everything the hotel had to offer, from the beautiful pool to the incredibly clean and comfortable room. We also had dinner at the hotel, which was not only delicious but served in a calm and peaceful atmosphere, allowing us to truly relax and enjoy the surroundings. The breakfast was exceptional as well, with a wide variety of fresh and tasty options.
But what truly set this experience apart was the kindness and generosity of the General Manager. We found ourselves in a difficult situation, unable to find transportation to Ella. He personally drove us there in his own car. This incredible gesture went far beyond anything we could have expected, and it's something we will never forget. He was incredibly kind, warm, and generous. We had the pleasure of speaking with him about many topics — he was funny, insightful, and genuinely caring.

There are comfortable seats in the lobby and the pool is nice. There's hot water in the shower and the staff are pleasant
The lobby is nice and when you arrive the set up is like a fancy hotel, but the staff are so poorly trained that we had multiple problems. The rooms are small and the bathroom minute, also we had problems with our food; they served lukewarm coffee and undercooked eggs for breakfast - both had to be sent back. For dinner our fish was also undercooked and had to be sent back. This hotel is too expensive for the experience they offer
We could give 10 stars for this amazing stay.
We did not expect much and were completely overwhelmed by both the service and the fabulous accommodation.
We had a very warm welcome with hot towels, ice tea and luggage carrying service.
The rooms are super spacious and absolutely clean (we got an upgrade :), but all rooms looked very nice).
The best we got in Sri Lanka by far! Western Standard with Sri Lankan hospitality! 🙏🏻☺️
Pool was also very nice to take a swim and afterwards you can have a cocktail in the shaded lobby outdoors.
Hotel is located in a very calm area, walking distance to town.
The food served at the restaurant was absolutely delicious at very reasonable prices. Also breakfast was amazing, you can choose between Sri Lankan and Western breakfast.
The hotel manager was always around to ask how we are doing. He and all the staff were extraordinary friendly and helpful.
We cannot understand negative reviews - in that case - these might be FAKE.
We highly recommend staying at Kevans Casa on the way between Sigirya and Ella.

The property is well appointed with very helpful and courteous staff. Pradeep the GM was v attentive and always available to help if needed. An unforgettable experience was breakfast by the lake with Lahiru as a guide. He was very helpful, polite and courteous. This experience will stay in our minds for a long time.
There was nothing we didn’t like as such. However, I would suggest more local
Sri Lankan food on the menu. I would also suggest finding a way of ensuring for bedrooms overlooking the pool and reception area to enjoy more privacy.
Kevan's house was super accomodating and the staff was really nice. I am vegan and they were able to make Sri Lankan breakfast for me in the morning which was delicious.
