Breakfast, shower, quiet, helpful staff. It was all ok, just an ordinary slightly old fashioned hotel room, nothing basically wrong with it.

Cons:

Only two tea bags is a bit mean, and those dreadful 'milk' pots, when will hotels realise it doesn't cost much more to leave a little supply of fresh milk but customers will greatly appreciate it. I suppose milk pots are more convenient for the hotel...

Great stay
Pros:

We felt very welcome from stepping in the hotel till we left. All the staff were very helpful and happy doing their job. We ate at the hotel all 3 nights and mornings food was perfect every time from someone who is very picky with food that is a rare thing for me to be happy every meal so 10/10 for that chef 👍 it was also very reasonable priced. The room was small but very clean with a really powerful shower. I would definitely stop here again if we're around this way. So if you're thinking of booking this hotel I'd say do it now 😁

Cons:

As this is a honest review I have to say that no mirror in a room was difficult for a woman to get ready and the bed had seen better days

Everything we needed with extra helpful staff
Pros:

Staff were great. Really helpful. Perfect location for our 6 day bike trip. Secure storage. Great food. Shower was fabulous

Lovely comfy overnight stay and amazing food in a quiet village location
Pros:

Lovely pub in a great little village. Perfect for an overnight stop on our tour. The food was incredible but we nearly missed it as the menu is not advertised in the room
and we could only find basics online. Glad we saw someone having food before we made a decision to go elsewhere

Cons:

Room was very small a little dated and although comfy enough could have been a little cleaner (carpet and window area).

Very convenient being on the main road through Evanton. The food was good and staff friendly.

Cons:

Sockets in our room were not in the most convenient places. Difficult to plug in the kettle and bedside lamp

Nice hotel, but tired looking. Food is the best part of this hotel stay.
Pros:

Central to my needs. Food is lovely and plentiful.

Cons:

Outdated. Needs modernising and in most cases needs a good clean up. Beds uncomfortable. Room tiny. Wouldn’t take much to make rooms fresher looking. Wardrobe looked like on last legs. No towels, toiletries or tea cup for two when we arrived.
Entrance to hotel looks good, but looks dirty going through to the rooms.
