Breakfast buffet was average. Food lacked taste.
The girl in reception was helpful. They have amazing breakfast.. especially amazing south Indian breakfast
The bathtub wasn’t cleaned, there was hair. The tap wasn’t working and the shower head was not proper

On 14 January 2026, a few hours after the free cancellation deadline, I realized that my intended check-out date should have been 18 January instead of 19 January. I immediately initiated a cancellation/modification request using the official procedures provided on the Booking.com platform.
While the platform offered three options (direct call, online message and email), the email request function was non-functional, leaving me only with the two options (Direct call and online messaging option.
I therefore, sent two formal cancellation/modification requests through the Booking.com system, and Attempted to contact Novotel Guwahati’s reservation desk multiple times by phone between 14 and 15 January, with no one picking up the phone.
Upon my arrival at the hotel on 15 January at approximately 19:30, I personally explained the situation at the reception (Which is equivalent to the direct call option as described above).
The hotel manager, Mr. Aryan Grewal, informed me that since the booking was made through Booking.com, the hotel could not take any action, but assured me that he would “look into the matter and get back to me.”
Despite staying at the hotel for three nights, no response or clarification was provided during my stay.
On 18 January at around 11:30 AM, when I approached the reception to check out, Mr. Grewal abruptly informed me that I would be charged for the night of 18 January, despite not staying on that day, stating again that “nothing can be done.”
Left with no alternative and no prior notice, I was compelled to pay for a night I did not use and then check out.
No professionalism
The rooms were okay. But I faced an issue with the AC which was not resolved properly. I was not offered any alternate room
Breakfast was good.
Swimming pool needs to be maintained better.
The team was amazing ... Piyanka at the front desk is exceptional and Payal, Monkoosh (Apologies if I am spelling the name wrongly) in the restaurant at the first floor exceeded our expectations always. Thank you Guys for the efforts you made to make our stay comfortable.
Room was dirty and things like locker etc did not work well. But all credit goes to the Team at the front desk for sorting everything out as we mentioned these things to them. We were upgraded immediately and things were sorted on top priority and have no complains.
